Can someone lend some assistance. One of my fellow club racers has offered to sell me his v1 car with the tekno e conversion roller, two bodies, and some half used tires for 125$.
This seems like a fair price since the tekno conversion is 125$ by itself.

Since I have zero experience with the car, what I want to know is if the v1 parts are still available? I can't find any comparability or cross refferance of yellow parts that work with the v1. I won't by this buggy if I can't get parts for it.

Thanks for any help.

The diff ring and pinion gears are different, but other than that all other parts will just swap right over.

Most of the changes from the v1 to Yellow Edition are small changes to improve quality, durability, and handling. For example, different internal gearing, smoother shocks, stronger plastics, wider chassis, etc. Everything from the Yellow Edition/eCar can be bolted onto the v1 car. A Main has all the parts for it. If you want to go all out and get all the newest parts, consider THE eCar. If not, I'd buy the used Tekno car your looking at.

125$ is a steal, go for it! and yes all parts from the yellow can be used

The only thing is that the v4 conversion is not produced anymore by tekno so make sure the conversion kit is in good shape . Center driveshafts are available though

I drove it before he pulled the electronics out. Drove real smooth not to twitchy. I've race with the guy for years and know how well kept he keeps his equipment.

Hey all,

I'm trying to convert a JQ the car to brushless for my nephew but I don't want to spend Tekno, JQ or RC Monster prices on the conversion.
What other diff mounts fit the car? If any?

GBS Usinages from France, I tested the prototype version for them and still have one left.

Where do you live?
