rebound is 3-4mm at most, its the air I can hear at the very end of the travel (less than 2mm) that I was concerned with.

for those of you running shorty batteries, are you shoving the battery all the way back to the transmission or playing with the the CG and moving the battery around. There is obviously room in there now using this short battery.
Are you using the stock velcro to secure the battery or is there a better or trick method to securing the battery once you find your happy spot?

We run the shorty pack indoors.... moving it forward actually. I also like to use the alloy battery brace, it allows the driver to push the battery 10mm further forward then the plastic one... I run one foam straight up against rear pivot and a half a pad flat up against chassis....

ok so battery forward, hop-up battery piece and you are putting foam behind the battery between it and the front of the trans area?

Add another 10mm pad behind the battery and you will be near where many of the team guys run the battery, this increases steering but also loses some rear grip.
You will need to move the stock battery brace back to the forward holes in the chassis and add additional pads or install the hop up aluminum brace with an extra set of holes which will mount in the rear chassis holes.

Briguy and FNCuda...thats perfect thank you.
This is what i dont understand you say battery back more rear traction, but when i have my battery back and im going down the straight into a sweeper when i let off the throttle to start my sweeper my car momentarily gets loose but when my battery is forward it doesnt get loose at all but with battery forward my car does suffer loose traction conditions exiting the corner
To me battery forward it seem you get more rear traction going from high speed to low speed, but with battery back i seem to get better traction from low speed to high

I don`t remember which one told me , maybe Casper . But he told me for more rear traction you put battery forward as when you are going forward the weight is transferred to the rear and get more off power steering when battery is in back position as weight is transferred to front when slowing or braking .
