Slipper slips, thats ok. If I run the diff loose, it grooves the plates, if I run it tight, the back end gets loose.

Im thinking about picking up a 22, but im kinda new to the whole 2wd buggys. For the 540 motors, the more turns it has the higher the kv? Please expalin to me the meaning of the turns.
thanks

No lower the turns the higher the KV rating. Just like old brushed motors. The lower the turns the faster the motor.

The turns are the number of revolutions of wire that go around each poll of the stator. The lower the number of turns the larger the wire they can use and larger wire of shorter length has less resistance and thus produces more power.

Ask your fellow racers at the track. Check for the biggest class stock or mod. 17.5 is stock so if that's the popular class look there. Mod I run an 8.5 pros run 7 or 6.5 depending on the track. Im thinking of going 10.5 maybe even 9.5.

New to 2wd start at 17.5 boosted or 10.5.

I like the way you mounted the motor fan, any way to get pictures of how much you cut out, and what fan you are using?

About to place my wiring order with TQ. How short of a sensor wire do I need to order? Whats the distance from the back of motor to the ESC, running Rear motor?

Kinda depends where it plugs in on the ESC and which way the motor is turned. I measured mine at 100mm and it plugs in on the nearest side to the motor with the motor turned so the sensor wire plug is closest to the ESC. I'd say go with 120mm minimum just in case. 160 or 170 if you have to plug it in on the far side or have the motor turned with the plug further away.

For mod you typically see between 10.5 and 8.5.

I think this is a reedy fan if I remember correctly. The hole is 23.5 mm wide.
