TLR 22 Racing Buggy Thread

Need a little insight/ setup help for a new racer. A friend of mine got him and his a son a pair 22's. What motor size would be a good starting point. They will be using a viper esc for ease of programing and being able to use the same one no matter what motor. 17.5, 13.5?

Well for one of them it will be novice for awhile the other start there to get a hang of it then all we offer is open buggy. He is fine as long as he gets track time. Trevor if you remember the Albuquerque race from last summer thats the track they will run at.

Can anyone tell me off the top of their head what parts I need to buy to run the Dustin Evans set up? I just bought the LRC 3.5 toe plate.... is there any other parts I should pick up?

Read here in section 5, Pro Setups & Sheets. I've found the TLR22 Guide Sticky to be quite helpful.

Well that track seems like it would be pretty high bite even if ran wet so I would say start with a 13.5 and don't use any timing advance until he feels like he needs more top speed. Novice should be 17.5 for sure.
