The car is just great right out of the box. I would say you might want to get the aluminum battery brace so you have more adjustability using the batteries weight fwd and aft when using a shorty lipo.
Also the rear inner camber block, the aluminum works flawlessly but if you just add a screw to the empty hole in the plastic kit one from underneath, it will prevent breaking the tab off where the ball end goes.
Other than that I would say the rest is just whatever you like. I will say the stock slipper is very good but to me the Avid Triad slipper is super nice.
I'm still racing mine, since they first came out with all the stock stuff and its perfect.
Just have fun tuning it, they are a blast!

I'm switching from losi 55 pistons to the associated 2x1.6 pistons. Do I need to go up or down in oil weight

For the rear end, I've tryed 27.5 and 32.5, too thin and too thick, you should try 30 (but here temperatures actually are on the high side)

5. As for shocks, I have been running 2x 1.6mm pistons front and rear with 30wt front, 27.5wt rear with Red LF front springs and White LF rear springs. The LF Springs are something we have come out with a few months back, and we sell the fronts and rears in sets.

That is from frank root. Gpod starting point if you are high traction

First race with my 22 in months. Ran it for the first time outdoors on a medium size medium traction track and took tq and the win. I just ran my b4.2 last week there and took the win also but my tq with the 22 was faster than my b4.2 was. I was really pleased with the way the 22 drove. Only thing I need is just a little more foward traction

Turned another guy on to the exotek rack this weekend its getting pretty popular at the tracks i frequent.

I wonder how the new TLR stuff is going to make this buggy react. Going to be an interesting time soon that's for sure.

What will people think if the new parts don't work on the old chassis and you have to buy a new kit, would most of you buy it or be disappointed? I sure hope they are a drop fit and don't know why they wouldn't be.

The rumor around here is that there will just be some updated parts, but the chassis will be the same. new rack, new spindles and front hubs and maybe some new rear arms. maybe a new rear bulkhead to allow for chassis mounting of the esc without modding the car. Its all rumors, but I expect we will hear something soon, because the online shops are clearancing the 22 buggies at a really good price. WAY better than the clearance price of the b4.1wc before the 4.2 came out.

Has anyone notice that the Ti ballstuds break more with the plastic ballstud washers? My kid sheared of a losi Ti stud in here rear alum hub this weekend. I am pretty sure I wont be able to back it out..../sad face.

I never broke a ti-ni ballstud. I did break a standard ballstud in the rear hub and I couldnt get it out. Sucks. Kids are rough on these things. My 8 year old wants a buggy so bad but he keeps breaking his 22sct so I'm not sure lol. How old is your kid and is he a novice driver?

What if the chassis is different?

My son is 5 and I let him drive my 22 buggy at about 75% thorttle and i feel safe with that. He is a pretty decent driver for 5. He drives his 22T and XXX-SCT pretty well also. Just do not make it super fast for them and they will be fine.

lol, she was in a double, double, double section and got crooked and shot over the wall and landed on the concrete floor. About a 5 foot drop. She is doing fine with the car. But I do need to work on jumping with her. I should have put the plastic hubs on here car, so I could just toss them when studs broke off, lol.

Made some adjustments Yesterday practicing and gained .4 seconds on my fast lap time, and also gained more steering and stability out of the buggy.

Previous was 5* front caster hubs with 25* brass kickup, went to 10* for a total of 35* front kickup. moved the shocks from 2-middle to 1-middle in the front, removed the antisquat and added 1mm shim under the rear ball studs on the camber block for a total of 3mm. I was under turning b4.2's and rb6's yesterday, and went from a 19.8 fast lap to a 19.4

All the rest is the frank root standard setup.
