Like others have said, install the glitch capacitor or BEC and that should solve your cogging issues. I just do not think it was made to take the abuse and power of the 1/8 scale 4s systems. I also have run them on 2s in my touring cars though without issue.

I have been using the MMPro in my VE8 for months with ZERO issues running a Tekin 2050 and 4 cell lipo....

I just bought a Ve8 that came with a 2650 and MMM. From reading this thread I'm guessing 4s would be to much?

Yes, much too much, unless you go 3s. Then you just need to gear accordingly.

Both of the following will keep you right around 40mph, just about optimal for racing.

20t on 3s/2650kv.
15t on 4s/2650kv. Wouldn't recommend the 4s on 2650kv though.

Even though my mmp says 1/10th scale on it it still means that it can run 1/18th scale right???

My car is basically a VE8. I have just taken the HHH concept and made my own chassis. I would buy the 1800kv MMM motor that Castle has on sale right now and run a Mamba Max esc(also on sale) or as someone mentioned your esc with a external BEC or seperate reciever pack. as I do. Just call me tomorrow and we'll talk about it. Bro.
