I have burned two up. One running a novak 4.5 550 motor in a jammin scrt10 and one running a tekin 1900 in a hot boides ve8. I also have friends that have cooked theirs in their 1/8 scale buggies also. The warranty service is good, but that does not help you finish races. Like others have said, install the glitch capacitor or BEC and that should solve your cogging issues. I just do not think it was made to take the abuse and power of the 1/8 scale 4s systems. I also have run them on 2s in my touring cars though without issue.
I have been using the MMPro in my VE8 for months with ZERO issues running a Tekin 2050 and 4 cell lipo....

thanks bro, after watching you put it to those guys last sat. in 1/8 buggy 
, i think i may need to move up and give it a try. if you were to start over what would you get (i like the VE8 & the NEXX 8 ) and what other stuff as far as motor and speedo??

1/10 scale???
I have run both the tekin rx8 and mmp and now that tekin has worked out it's bugs, I am all tekin. Tom2tone I believe runs a mmp. I have burned up two mmp's so I come to my own conclusion that they were really designed for 1/10. I know alot of people buy them because of that 6s thing, but I am beginning to believe that is nothing more than a sales pitch just like C ratings on lipo batteries.
