Wow, what a hard question nowadays. I would say any of the top brand names will be great, but you'll pay alot for a good one. I've been looking at the Savox lately, since they are the producers for several top name servos and have an outstandingly low price tag. Good luck!

I didn't know that. What brands do they produce for?

+1 on savox again.

I have them in everything i run. Couldnt be happier with them.

Actually just put in the 1257tg in my b4.1 today and fast almost doesnt describe it! This is the one stated earlier at .07 sec @ 6v. Overkill on torque for 1/10 as well.

team orion. And i believe but not sure the align servos.
i am xtremely happy with my 1258, i got used to the speed after very few runs and now cant stand my standard servo in the sc anymore... 69$ for this much quality servo is a steel!

I run the Spektrum S6040 in all my 1/10 electric applications. Decent price - great performance.

Savox produced servos for Orion and Align, just relabled. The specs and build qualities seem top notch and hearing nothing but good things about them so far. There's a good article in Dec 2010, Hi-Torque's R/C Car magazine on them.

hitec hs965mg, nearly as fast as the 7940 with 139 oz and .09 speed at 6v, all for about 60 bucks anywhere

screw any other servo thats not hitec, best of the best customer service and a 3 year warranty. and btw savox servos are garbage, saw 2 different guys have runaways tis season due to brand new throttle servos blowing the amp and the cars where wide open screamin like a stuck pig

Don't you love the r/c world? When talking about a product you have some guys just praise a certain thing so much and then some guys trash the same thing.

first off 2ool, I was praising hitec, because in my 15 years in rc they have been the best servos I have ever owned. futaba is a great servo, but they are a little steep, jr is horizon along with spektrum, those I will not buy. blue bird makes a decent servo, but they do not seem to last like a hitec. and savox"orion/align" is JUNK. everyone knocked the orion servos and now they love savox

my opinion is exactly what it is, MY OPINION. this is a FORUMwhere people of a common interest share there opinions.

good luck with your servo purchase and I hope you get what all around works for you, and sorry for jacking your thread but these panty waste keyboard bandits get under my skin

Wwhats with the hissy fit rock? He made a valid point and it happens all the time. Today its about servo brands. He wasnt picking on ya. Just pointing out how things are.
But anyway, thanks for sharing the experiences with savox/orion/align.
Every brand has its good and bad days though. Anyone else have some insight?

The savok low profile looks great, thanks for your inputs guys, I'll go for that, can't convince myself to put more money in the servo than on my hobbywing ESC.
