Default Ball cup removal

Hey all

Just picked up a Brushless RTR B4.1 the other day, and I'm just sort of getting familiar with how it's all put together. Is there a trick for getting the ball cup off of the ball end?

thanks!
Michael

I use the needlenose without the teeth so you do not tear up the plastic cup when poping it off the ballstud.

I do that same thing. But make sure you get a good grip on one the flat surfaces so you don't round it off.

i use the cheap metal wrench that most cars come with and it fits perfect between cup and ball and allows me to get an even pry to pop it off.

I like trying to bump the car in front of me to get one of the front camber links to pop off.

a slight twist front or back will pop the cup off the ball very easily.....as for trying to keep them perfect looking, they are cheap............replace them, they wear out anyways.

The new AE V2 shock wrench has a slot on it for popping off the ball ends with out twisting it off. very clean.

Here is the one that comes with most losi cars. The narrow end fits under the ballcup and you just give it a little twist. The wide end is a 3/16 wrench and works great for tightening 3/16 stuff in tight places.

3Racing and other companies make a tool to pop them off. They don't work very well and for the most part I use needle nose pliers.

Funny I was thinking earlier about making a thread to see how everyone pops their cups off. I have the 3Racing tool and sometimes it works ok and sometimes it does a hack job on the ball cup.

Never even thought about using the one end of one of my cheap multi wrenches that come with most kits...
