So if i convert the rear of the b44.1 to hex then I cant get matching wheels(yet)
Sounds like Proline/JC make hex rears but no B44 front and Associated has b44 front but no hex rear. Personally I dont like the Rulux wheels I bought solid jconcept rear wheels, not knowing that they we're hex until I got to the track. The only adapters that worked were losi scte hexes. They worked great, and I will now use them permanently. They are nicley machined metal and fit perfect. Who would have guessed. I agree, I don't like the rulux wheels either. |

Little update on the B44.1 and driving.
It has been a rough few months with this thing trying to keep it off the pipes or walls. I swear they jump out in front of me on the track. Ran some new tires Rebar front and rear. from Barcodes front and rear. motor setup is a Viper VTX10R/VST6.5 Gearing 19/81. going to try a 84 tomorrow to see if I can get some better temps BB Losi springs front rear Front Orange Rear White TC3 front one-way diff. My old personal best was 12.05 seconds New best as of last night 11.80 Seconds backed by a 11.92 and a 11.82 I am happy with it. |

throw the shims on the opposite side of the teeth to push the diff closer to the pinion for a tight mesh. see what i posted in the island raceway thread as well.

G'day y'all,
I am in need of some help from some of you AE gurus, I am looking for a setup sheet from the 2010 or 2011 cactus classic, I can't find one for the life of me. Please help! Pm me or shoot me an email [email protected] Cheers John |
Does anyone know of any front premount tires for the b44.1. Ca glue and I are not friendly
|
John -- I checked with Brent and he said that he always starts out with his std setup that is on the AE site. As far as big bore springs goes you can get the Kyosho's or he said that Due is making the Losi springs work good (red/yellow).
On another note...are you guys sealing the chassis with CA when you build the car? I cant remember whether or not I did it with my last 4wd, but need to get this one built up for Cactus. Thanks. |

What type of track are you running on? How does the one way diff work?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=UZJlMwdFnW8 That is the 13.5 Buggy A-main. I was in the TQ #1 spot.. it's my b4.1 though. but shows you the track. THe one-way I LOVE IT. I have a hard time braking/turning with all 4 wheels braking. I run the clicker on the SC10 4x4 for the same reason. I like to brake in the corner and "V" the turns(slid the rear end around) and nail it out of the turn. the one way allows me to do this just like my B4.1 and SC10.. I will see if my wife will take some Vid of it friday for the last round of that series points race so you can see ho wit moves with it. |
