Thanks for the help. For the tires, proline now has scrubs for the 4wd front and the suburb fronts and just wondering if anyone has tried the scrub fronts and what would be the difference between the two.

Super high bite, wet clay. (at least on wed nights when he races) I try to usually run slicks or ghost pins myself.

Can someone post all the part numbers needed to convert to big bores?

Also what does everyone run for foam in the front? aka closed cell, proline, or regular foam and what is the difference between the foam and the closed cell/molded?

I like the Proline closed cell foams for fronts better than the AKA, they have seemed to hold up longer. The AKA are of course far better than stock type foam.

Working on a dirt oval project that is B44/B44.1 based and was curious to know if the front and rear driveshafts from the BJ4 are the same lengths as the B44/B44.1? JConcepts has an aluminum set and I'm trying to shave all of the weight I can, especially rotating weight. :D

This is what you're looking for.

NTC3 HD One Way

I tried looking in the AE store, but I think it may be discontinued.

I have one, but never tried it. Never seen any of the AE drivers list it in their set ups. I think I'll try it once for shits and giggles.

Try this place. I'd call them first before ordering.

Active Powersports

Sorry you won't find it! Nobody makes them. I want to try gear diffs bad but are non existent for the B44. Have heard of a guy trying some but the mods to even get them into the gear boxes was crazy!

I have tried them. 10.5 motor. You need a large space to race one. basically it will drive like a 2x with more power and steering coming out. The braking coming in is what makes 4x4 so much faster going into turns.

BUT: I ran it with a 17.5 in a stock shoot out, it was rocking the track. So I would recommend a slow motor and work up from there.

I will just about guarantee no none will stick with one after testing it. I would recommend if you have one try it but caution on the side of adding it to the pit box. Its not worth a penny with a hot mod motor.

BTW Set the brakes fluffy, straight brake and be ready to turn on a pin head....lol.

I was wanting to make it brake like a 2wd.

I am having a problem with going from the B44.1 to the B4.1 and SC10 2wd. I use the brakes in the corner to turn it fast. The track I race on has 3 180deg tight turns.

The buggy pushes like a mofo in the corners. If you hit the brakes it just slides straight and drives me nuts.

I guess it's just going to be a new learning curve

The one way gave me some of the most consistent laps ever with a 17.5. But with the diff you may need to dial the brakes out to improve on brake steering and or loosen the front diff a bit. Good luck. Its definitely a learning curve. I gave it about 4 weeks and went back to the diff. 10.5 was all I could handle with the one way.

Yeah.

I am running 1/2 turn out front diff. 1/8 out rear diff.
Motor is a Viper 6.5T gearing is 19/81. I am still adjusting that though, Motor is getting around 150 after 5 mins ESC is 120-130

I found if I run a slick rear tire I can move the rear end around a lot better. It still picks the front wheel up out of a turn though lol
