Lots of pics with ESC on top of steering servo, or in front of battery tray (if it fits).

hmm, I wonder if anyone makes a battery tray for a shorty, then you would have lots of space for the ESC in front of it.

Whatever you'd run in a 4x4 SC would work. Something like a Hobbywing SCT Pro and 4000kv motor. A Savox 1258 or 1268 would be fine. The TT is simply a shrunk down SC....what was the SC version called? Hyper10SC or something.

The Novak Active 8 is too large unfortunately to fit in any of these spots.

Also, does the Pro kit come with a receiver box ? cause mine seems to be missing if it does.

dont think the TT or Hyper 10 have RX's boxes. Could probably fit something from AE or Traxxas.

What class would this vehicle be in?

I really like the price point but honesty I can say I have seen another 1/10 truggy 2wd or 4wd.

Do you think a 10.5 or 9.5t motor would work in this? I got a bunch of spare 2-pole stuff, but no SCT electronics.

I would say you could get by with a 8.5/7.5 but I'm guessing it might not give the performace your after.

Assuming you keep temps in line, I think one of them would work.....just may not be very quick.

I just built a jammin crt .5 converted w rc monster stuff..... Had a Novak 6.5 in it. I swapped it out w a Tekin rx8 and 4600. It seems much happier w this set up.

OK thanks, I've got a 7.5 lying around, I'll throw that in and see it runs. Going full SCT will cost me a couple hundred, I'm guessing you need to run full size packs too.

They don't fit any existing race class. Some tracks have run them as their own class when a lot of guys had them.

I took mine to the track this weekend, they grouped me with the 4wd mod SC trucks.

It felt very narrow to me. Made it feel a little twitchy on the high bite surface. I think I need to find a wider offset truck wheel... Anyone know who has the widest offset?

Showed up today and it is tiny! More like 1/12 or 1/14 scale, but looks pretty fun.

The boy will be stoked come Christmas!

Nope. We could never get them to run cool enough. They came out before all the good 4 pole stuff was available and we ran them 2 ways. 1) Novak GTB or Havoc Pro with a Ballistic 550 or a uncensored Castle SCT 3600 4 pole system. The Castle system, although uncensored, actually worked great. I remember that I had to change the springs right away as the damn thing would nose over and land on its back every time I hit our big triple. If I'm not mistaken the TT has a pillow ball front suspension which I liked. It also has that chainsaw sound that 4 wl SCs have. It must have been about 6 years ago when it came out originally. West Coast RC had a full class of them for a while.
