Well, got to race with it last night. Felt pretty good once i figured out the spot on the wheel i liked best. It seemed a bit more relaxed, but my friend's radiopost felt a little better in hand. I think i mainly need a new wheel with softer foam or maybe a little smaller one and it'd be perfect for me. Any ideas on where i can find new wheels other than integy?

Check out Dynamite, I was just shopping for one and settled on integy. Not a big fan of them as I hadbad experience with their ebay store. I like the look of a lot of the wheels that they have though, and the little brake disc. There was few other companys but most I saw were out of U.S.

How would you describe the softness of the foam on the integy vs stock futaba wheel? Size of integy vs stock wheel?

The integy foam is a bit thinker and softer, allowing your fingers to "sink more" into the foam. With the foam on both wheels the integy is 1mm smaller in circumference. There is an rctech member that has a thread in the "radio and electronics" section named "reptile", I believe, that makes and sells a rubberish style wheel instead of foam. Probably going to give one a shot.
I got mine on eBay for $13 shipped. You can get them for as low as $8-$9 shipped,so you won't be out much if you didn't like

Default GRID 4PL/4PLS drop down now a regular stock item

Folks,

A quick announcement. The 4PL/4PLS drop down adapters are now going be regular stocked items this year.

This should be good news for those that miss the pilot run last year. Keep in mine, the first few batches will be limited, so order yours quick.

Can you nut and bolt the adapter to the radio instead of gluing it? Last thing I need is for the glue to break off during a race. Don't really care since it's out of warranty and I took the radio apart a few times already.

I got one of those from reptile for my MT-4 and like it a lot better than foam. Bunch of different colors too if you want... or black.

Don't think "bolting"it up is an option with the current setup. I have had zero issues with mine,so far. I was super gentle with it at first, but back to normal use as I feel comfortable that its not going anywhere. I believe when you use the "abs"glue it kinda "plastic welds" the piece on instead of just glueing together. Very happy with purchase

Mine did fall apart on initial gluing but I think I was too mean with the ABS solvent. I tipped a load more second time and it has been solid ever since and I am quite tough on my wheel.

I just did this as I had the glue fail a few times and got fed up resticking it.

There are a couple of existing holes that can be used but I had to drill a new one to miss mouldings on the inside and clear the mechanism. Solid now and a bit of a fiddle but not too bad.

Default Stronger Suspension Arms for Racing

We are experimenting with a new suspension arm design and if happy with the results, do a small production.

But we do need your input to develop the right suspension arms that will be intended for racing. We experience along with others being out of a heat just because we broke a suspension due to bad landing, catching the corner or crashing into another car on the track.

The goal is to produce system arms that can withstand more impact without breaking easily.

If you feel your suspension arms are fine, just ignore this post. If you are fed up with broken arms, lets discuss.

I'm interested in stronger suspension arms that withstand some impacts. Would they be for Durango and the other major brands?

It would be suspension arms for 1/10. Primarily for Durango, AE, Yokomo and maybe others. Your feedback determines if there is a "real" need for stronger arms.

I find that even simple impacts arms have a way of breaking arms which shouldn't happen. I have seen a lot of racer's face just drop to the ground when they see a marshal pick up their car with the suspension arm hanging off the pivot pin or universal.

I would be interested in stronger arms for dex410. Seems like you could do aluminum since its all metal from arms to chassis? No other plastics at risk.
