Betts- I am probably going to get the Orion pack because I am trying to eliminate connectors and since I can go directly from the ESC to the battery with the Orion one I feel as though that would be a better choice for me.
And as for the charger I am sure a Pulsar 3 will do the trick

But you have gotten so much better then when you first started so you'll be as fast or faster then him in time, Plus your still young so you probably have a bit more time to practice. So take advantage of it.

Set-ups also don't work with every driving style Brandon likes to drive hard. At Pit stop his truck looked like it had rear steering he was driving so hard.
