Does anybody have a clue where I can get diff outdrives for my 502x or a successful painless gear diff swap? The drive line on mine is trashed and I've sunk so much into it, I can't see just letting it sit around and go to waste. I need all new outdrives and drive shafts. Thanks in advance. The drive shafts I have located, but am really struggling with the rest.

To make the gear diffs work in the 502x you need to source them front a Team C car and as far as I know all of the dealers are out of stock and have been for a while... not for Ball diff parts then can be found quite easily ... what exactly do you need..??

Out drives front and rear. Can't find them anywhere online. I was able to find the Team C diffs. Do you have to use Team C drive shafts with the gear diff swap? I believe the out drive slots are different size from the TRF ones.

With the Team C diffs you can use their drive shafts since the Tamiya drive pin is smaller but they are really soft and will wear out really fast.. but there are a few things that I have a buddy working on now that might help out with the wear.. no if your looking to get the ball diff parts look here
http://www.tqrcracing.com/shop/produ....asp?p_id=4109
But there is only one set left in stock.. so better act quickly TQ hobbies is pretty good for getting all of the parts for the 502x..

BTW where did you find the Team C Diffs at?? they are out of stock everywhere

You can e-mail TQ and they should be able to get more back in stock fairly quickly

I was able to find some more of the OE "diff joints" now that I know Tamiya's proper name for them and also, it looks like most don't include the first 1 in the part number shown in the manual.

Are those the correct gear diffs for making the swap? I would like to just go that route.

If your going to go the Team C Gear diff route You will need the following

http://www.tcmodels.net/index.php?pa...mart&Itemid=71

and I highly suggest that you get these outdrives as well

http://www.tcmodels.net/index.php?pa...mart&Itemid=71

and also get a complete set of drive shafts front the Tm4 for the 502x..
