lcg chassis for slash question

I am not aware of any NEW version so it's possible. I actually acquired mine broken but after seeing the super thin front support I can see why it broke. There was maybe 1/6 of an inch of carbon for the entire front deck holding it to the bulkhead. The bottom sheet is bulletproof and I've had a couple bad jumps that I thought for sure would snap it and nothing. It's a tank. If they improved the top deck, good for them.

As far as durability goes I have not have had any issues. I have the G-10 fiberglass version. I have heard of people breaking the upper deck where the trans stansoffs bolt, but I think you would really have to be leaning on it for that to happen.
So far,so good.

You might want to check out the Thunder Tech Outlaw. The Pro version has a lightened (spiderweb cutout pattern) top deck, is comparable in weight to the Xtreme, and is much tougher from what I've seen/experienced. I built one for my brother with the ProTrac kit and PowerStroke shocks with a slew of other option/hop-ups. The truck was very respectable- capable of hanging with the other trucks in Mod, though it's still a bit heavy for Stock class IMO. That said, I've since put him in an SC10, and now an SCX-60 and he's much faster/smoother.
Another point is cost- a ProTrac kit, LCG chassis, and PowerStroke shocks will put you right in the ballpark of buying an FT SC10 or Blitz ESE. The LCG I built wound up having close to $600 in the chassis and a set of tires. Just some food for thought. If it was my money I'd buy a different truck. If you're up for spending a bunch of money on a chassis, buy a new/used SC10 and get the SCX-60 conversion from X-Factory- mid-motor design and super fast.
