lcg chassis for slash question

I am considering getting the Xtreme Racing carbon fiber lcg chassis, but have a few questions. First: How much better does it make the Slash handle and such, and is it worth getting? Also, I wanted to know how durable the chassis is. Thanks in advance.

I just put lcg extended rustler on my slash, it handles better.I think for me the Pro trac set up helped more though. It could be my set up though I'm still a newbie at this stuff.

It's still a traxxas.....

I've seen every "hop-up" for slash trying to beat my stock blitz or a stock sc10 , never happened

the driver of the slash must not know how to drive then. .

Thanks jeredr, but does anyone who actually has the xtreme racing lcg carbon fiber chassis know anything about the durability of the chassis and how well it makes the slash handle?

As Jered said I have the Rustler LCG chassis and it makes a world of difference. My son went from having to ease through the corners to practically holding the throttle wide open all the way around the track. I know it's not the chassis you are taliking about but LCG(whatever kind) is the way to go. My Rustler conversion is super tough so I would think the one you are taliking about is as well.

Same here, I just finished mine up last night and threw it on my practice track and wow BIG difference! Cheap too. thats the best part. I made my own battery straps so the whole thing cost about 20 bucks.

thank you. how do you make the rustler conversion chassis?

Buy the rustler chassis and then just make extensions on the rear end for the slash rear end to bolt too.

I used the Extreme chassis bottom plate for this build: http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...tor-slash.html

The top plate WILL break so have an alternative in mind when it does but the chassis is fine. I'm not that impressed with the layout and unless you must have carbon fiber I'd probably do the Rustler version.
The LCG is amazing though and my truck handles better than ANY Blitz, SC10, etc I've ever came across so don't listen to that guy. :D

Here's my version. Scroll down a fews posts. STRC?? or whatever it's called makes a plate and screw kit that will be released soon, but I would just make my own. I made mine from aluminum but the local I got the idea from made his from Lexan.

I heard somewhere else the xtreme racing carbon fiber chassis was plenty durable. I think it might have said the older version wasn't very strong but the new version was. I don't know. When did you get yours, and what kind of driving did you do to make it break?

The Xtreme slash conversion is wicked bad. It is not "just another slash"... It makes the truck a totally different animal. It puts it right up there in the leagues ot the SC10's Blitz's and Ultima SC's. Pair it up with a pro trac and it's $$.

I have had mine together 2 weeks and I am still dialing it in but 1st week out was TQ and the win, 2nd week out was 1st place in open sc.
