I was able to hit the track again last night after missing a week and made a number of changes. Still using the shorty pack, I ended up with 2 pads forward and 4 in the rear pulled one shim from under the front inner ballstud. Car still pushes through mid and exit with very aggressive turn in. After that, I shimmed the rear hubs all the way back. No change to the steering but the car seemed to have a more neutral attitude off the jumps (had a tendency to nose up a tiny bit). Tried gold Barcodes up front (green Barcodes rear) and they ran just like the super soft Vektors. Car has pretty good forward bit (not oustanding but good) and adequate side bite. Other than 1/2oz of weight in front of the servo, the rest is from the Worlds Car kit setup.
I ordered the Avid springs, a couple full size batteries, some other tires, the C hubs, a new u-brace to try the shaved setup, carbon front arms, and some other crap to mess around with next week so we'll see how that goes.

Really?
I said Traxxas 3768 for a reason

Or type in 3768 and the 1st listed part is the traxxas upper parts he needs.
thank you, please try again.

I'm setting a t4.1 rtr for my sons 1st rc. I have an MMP esc but want to use the reedy 3300kv rtr motor for now. I know I can't cut the wires on the motor, but can I change the plugs to 4mm w/o screwing up the motor?

You could but it would be easier to change the plugs on the MMP to whatever the motor plugs are.
You are correct about changing the MMP plugs, but if I change the plugs on the motor, not the esc, he can use other motors I have w/o changing the plugs again & I can use that motor on another vehicle without having to change the plugs on that esc. In the long run having every 540 or 550 can I own have plugs that match every esc I own allows for MUCH greater versatility and ease of use.

What are the main reasons people are using the Losi pistons, and what gains are people seeing on the track versus the AE 2-holes.
Raced today and this was the first time I've heard about it.
Edit:
Also, my transmission is pretty noisy. Everything is stock, no binding, built properly. Other racers at my track have the same car/motor and whisper quiet, yet mine is the loudest on the track. Run JC Silent Spurs, Robinson Racing pinions.
Anything I can change/check?

Nose up off the jumps, pushing out of the corner? Sounds like the front end may be a bit stiff. I would start with the springs, pistons or oil, etc., before I started moving hubs. What about ride height? As weird as it sounds 1mm can affect my traction. Just my two cents.
