Thanks for the help guys
I've always found the M3 ribbed fronts to not steer that much, I'd try a more aggressive front tire before anything else if the car handles the track well right now. However, it's been a while since I raced so I don't have any suggestions as to which tire to try, sorry.

Hey guys,My shocks feel alot softer than everyone elses associated shocks.
I'm running losi reds in front white in rears.
Everyone else runs this at my local track too but my shocks just feel alot lazier than everyone elses running losi 30 in front 25 in rear. That is what everyone is running at my local track.
Any suggestions to fixing this?
Thanks

Everyone is not everyone. I'm still running Associated Brown/Green. Everybody says that the big bore spring calm the car down.

Do you not like the way the car handles, or do you just want it to feel like everybody else?

loss oil is lighter then a.e oil. Try losi 35 in the front, 30 rear. As far as a.e 30 front 27.5 rear .

Hey, I am making the switch from the 22 as well. What didnt you like about the 22? What did you notice the differences where between the two?

I took some time away from r/c and felt I needed a change on return. The 22 was fine, but I was always chasing the set-up. Grip on corner exit was always an issue. Not so with the B4.1, I prefer the way it turns now, and feels more nimble.

Both are good cars but i found it all came down to driving style. The 22 was very stable, durable, and for the most part easy to drive. The problem i had was the over sensative diff was hard for me to tune, the car pushed almost everywhere, on every track, with any kind of tire. You could compensate for most of that if you are the type of driver that steers with the throttle.

I became frustrated with the constant tuning, and never really felt i ever had the car dialed in. I did every mod, had the pros help me with the set up, but still in the end i feel the car did not suit my driving style. When i club raced i began to think my days as a contender were over.

Fast forward a couple of months. Built the worlds kit using the supplied worlds set up, but went with Losi BB springs, hex conversion, and Avid steering rack. The car handled great right out of the box. I could steer, have rear traction, can hold a tight line in the corner, but most of all my lap times have improved, and i am finishing much better when i race. For me the switch was worth it.

The best thing owning the Losi did for me was to teach me how to build a diff. I got a lot of practice and can now build a diff with my eyes closed and one hand tied behind my back.

Because you're running soft springs. Go to yellow rear/orange front and it'll get better.

Thank you for that detailed response. Your response just made it that much clearer that I am buying a B4.1 I am allways fighting the setup with the 22 and can never get enough steering or stop it from pushing. Then rear traction is the promblem. But its good to know that the Worlds Kit setup is a good place to start.

Since you owned a 22 im assuming you had tires already so are you running 22 rear wheels. Do they mount ok? I did a search and found that the front wheels on the 22 wont fit but the rear wheels will work.

BITD when I was racing 2-3 classes a day 3 times a week with a gold pan they would "wear out" in about 3-4 months so I had to build new ones as the old ones got sloppy and free'er..... the same thing applies to this day. I have multiples of the same cars and the older ones with more run time are considerably different. No matter how close you build them and try to match them a much more used car will simply not drive the same as a not so used car. In preparation for a big event I would build 2 new cars a month before the event to get them broken in and they would remain similar for months and when I would set them up the same they would drive the same. Can't say that for the older vs newer cars.
This is one of the things that people don't consider when setting up a car and wondering why it doesn't work like the other guys.

Use the same tire you use on the back if one is available. Barcodes, Scrubs, Taper pins, Rebars, all work great on the wet clay tracks. Some more than others depending on whats added to the track. Ive noticed that "clay" compound tires tend to work well on a wider variety of surfaces so try some gold or orange Barcodes or Purple Scrubs.
