I love driving, and I love racing, obv. I like racing more but wrenching it also very fun. Some times I tear is down and lube all the bearings, check tranny and clean all the pins to make sure my car is smooth around track, little crap adds up to a smooth car..

Gentlemen, I just picked a F/T B4.1 with the +8mm chassis... What are some upgrades, must haves, needs, and wants I should get for it. I have been running F/T SC10's for a couple years now so I am pretty comfortable with AE stuff... I will be running in a 17.5 class on a fairly large track (Mikes in Dallas). I have a Viper VTX1 and a Revtech 17.5 motor. I will check the local fast guys for tire and suspension recommendations. Thanks for any and all help.

Tim

Thanks, I have the hexes for the rear. The buggy came with 6 sets of pin style rear tires so I may hold off until they wear out. Do you run the hexes on the fronts like the SC10 (with the conversion), or is it just for the rear. Is there a certain offset for the wheels or are all buggies the same? The SC10 front springs work on the B4 rear correct? What are the part numbers to convert to the Losi or Kyosho springs?

I couldnt agree more. Big or small car i love wrenchin. It completes me. LOL

Speaking of suspension... has anyone tried the vertical rear hubs off the 22 to see if they fit? Hinge pin to axle center looks pretty close to the B4 offering. But it could be a way to move the camber link for more BB clearance...

Been running the Losi BB springs the last couple races(yellow rear/orange fronts). So far I like them. Not exactly a mind blowing change, but a worthy upgrade none the less. I do think they handle rough landings a little better than the stock stuff though. Waiting on my ft silvers to try, but so far ft orange and rear yellows work well. White rears were just too soft.

I've got 25 degree caster blocks on right now. I was trying to find a bit more mid turn steering. Helped a bit.

How do you like those rear hubs? Have you compared the ball locations to the associated hubs by any chance?

I will get one from a 22 racer and c if it fits, I think it may be to big for the cvds. If you rotate the spring it should hit the turnbuckles, mine didn't.
