UFODZINER - just curious how (and how much) the rpm arms affect the steering/handling?

The pic was to show the difference in length of the rod ends on 2 like setups, in which case the model of car makes no difference. The exposed thread count is clearly visible. With little effort you could determine if the length would / would not work for you.

I'm not an expert driver, but I noticed little to no difference between the two. With the rpm parts I don't have to worry at all about breakage.

gotcha....i was curious because it looked like it brought the axle and ball studs back considerably - relative to the chassis

It certainly does in those photos. In person they appear to be equal. These pics are more accurate.

hmm, i haven't compared the length of the orange springs to any other, but i do run 24mm ride height both front and rear with plenty of room to go lower

I don't run a gear diff but a fast wise man by the name of Bill Koch once told me
Run 2,000 on every surface and learn to drive it.

Hey all,

I'm running 30f and 25r oil in shocks, with brown f and green r springs...

Our track is pretty bumpy but also very fast (Its more designed for 8th scale)

I'm thinking of trying lighter oil to soak up the bumps... What will it do to the handling? I'm thinking more weight transfer which will mean more steering entering a corner under breaks and less coming out of the corner as the car squats down... Does this sound right?

Just curious so I can begin to alter the setup

Phill

Oh, running the std length chassis. Will the long chassis be better?
I'm running 17.5 no timing with 37/69 gearing (As is said, LARGE track)

Its a 2wd buggy, probably should have mentioned that

I am using Losi cups and rpm retainers at the top. Not sure why they are longer than the silvers, at least in my case. Either way, I like the Losi springs alot, more forgiving but they still have great turn in.

Yeah noticed the same thing, have tlr reds up front and pink rears. All collars are fully up and just makes ride height of 24mm front and back. Not sure how everyone is getting any more range to run lower. Anyone have a close up pic and maybe someone running red fronts or even orange fronts? I have the rpm upper pressed on the the AE upper collars so I know there is no more room there for it. Would like a little more adjustment room.

What Losi springs? The black TLR 22 springs with the color on the end? Or are they the colored springs? I noticed a difference as well. When I tried the colored springs I couldn't adjust much, then I got the new TLR 22 springs and they are much better.

Its the tlr 22 springs that are black, seems the softer springs like red barely fit and just at 24mm. In rear even pinks are at top to get 24mm ride height. Anyone changing the ball end to lower the spring or maybe doing the rpm collar differently on the AE threaded collar?
