I'll buy and us what I know works vs. trying to guess what BK is running. Which currently isn't translucent wire, fyi.

Just because someone knows RC cars doesn't make them an electrical genius.

As to the suitability of the speaker wire, smaller gauge, lower strand count, and lesser material, look at it this way: Let's say you live 50 miles from your place of work. You can get to work by foot or drive your car. Both will get you there, no doubt about it, but which is most appropriate?

If what I've pointed out to you about wire spec isn't sufficient for you, there's nothing more that I can do to help you. Doesn't mean that your car will melt down with speaker wire, any more than running high grade space shuttle stuff will make your investment portfolio manager any smarter.

What is the strand count on that wire?
Had to count the individual strands...Count is 44...Pretty low, considering most rc stuff is between 500 and 1000...After thinking about it, I probably won't use it in my car, but it still looks awsome...

yeah speaker wire is going to be alot lower count.

high quality speaker wire is ~225-240 (which is 112-120 per) strand for 14ga.

novak 14 ga wire is 266 strands.

What gearing are you guys using with an 8.5 in a B4?
I'm running 19 pinion and 84 spur, ran cool and fast with this gearing.
Didnt feel like I was over geared at all. Thanks for the help.

That is with timing correct? I know tekin has a few profiles available for the b4 but does anyone want to share what they run with an 8.5?
