That's a loaded questions. There is way to many variables. Like are u using kit tools, have u done it before, are u trying to free up the drive train by soaking the bearings in motor cleaner for several hours then reoiling them and finally do u have kids and a wife or atleast pto. 3 hours if I buy bearings from avid in advance up to 12-14 hours using kit tools and so on. This is merely from my own personal experience. Building a kit with ur kid add another 6-7 hours for what ifs.

How good are the Avid Bearings? Are they worth the money?

Thanks

I like them b/c I can use the stock ones as spares. I think they are the best for the price. Revolution is the way to go.

I've always noticed slop from in to out on the idle gear but on my t4.1 I'm noticing alot of slop from side to side on the diff. Should I shim the diff or just run it.

Best value in R/C, bar none. I bought 2 extra sets for my B4, T4 and RC8. And extra clutch bearings. All for around $80 (free shipping). The bearings were at my door in 3 days.

1) Clean website
2) Knowledgeable customer service
3) Quality bearings
4) Unbeatable price
5) Quick turnaround and shipping

As far as reoiling the bearings there is really no need. Every bearing from Associated is properly oiled and is a direct fit

The reason for oiling is b/c I use motor spray to pull out the thick grease and replace with trinity bearing oil this is allow the drivetrain to roll more freely.

No wife and no kids. I have hex drivers but no standard nut drivers, and I recently built an ESE and also have been rebuilding an LST that whoever owned before me wasn't all that big on maintenance, or cleaning, or putting it back together right. I should have specified a little better. Thank you.

I now have a set of bearings on the way from Avid. I use their bearings in my ESE and ordered a set for my LST. I was on their website earlier today looking at extra wheel bearings so I didn't have to change those out all the time. I'll just use them everywhere now.

I have used the trinity bearing oil with good success. I have been lubing my bearings with Dry Ice from Sullivan Products and it is amazing. I use it an all my tranny bearings now and my CVD's and it is the best stuff I have used to date. It is a Teflon based lube and is extemely slick.
