As the others have said, Viper is a good option. I would recommend the VTX10 Black Edition. Get the Proguage and then pick your motor.

You only need one Proguage so if you end up getting another kit later, you're already set.

You don't need to get the 'R' model unless you wanna run 4wd or motors lower than 6.5T.

Associated Black Grease. I don't know if the other brands are the same, looks like it from the packets tho.

I stared at 3,000 then 1,000 and found that the black grease really is the best in this buggy!

That's for hard dirt with a dusty layer on top making it very slippery. Obviously, the more grip you have you would maybe think about going to diff fluid - but I wouldn't think about it until you're on carpet or astro, the black grease is just fine.

This may seem so dumb, but how do you guys get the dirt stuck in the screw holes on the bottom of the chassis un-dirted?

Mash I use a scribe. If u don't have one u can always use a smaller Allen head. Just twist back and forth.

Tip of a razor blade. Or a old L wrench of the size of .05.

I used my smallest allen wrench which caused me to strip 2 of my previous screws... the screw head is small enough and the dirt is soo hard pack and dry.

You can use an exacto with a not so fresh blade, or just use and break the tip of a new blade.

U can use the chassis protectors (sticker) for the bottom of the chassis.

Hideeho
We solved the problem of the kid with the slow mmp/1408. He had swapped the a & c motor wires. That caused it to be in reverse mode when going forward so it only went 50% speed. Once we swapped the wires & reset the end points it ran like a scalded dog! He ended up & 23/81 to get good speed & AWESOME acceleration.

Compressed air @ 90psi or so out of a rubber tipped blow gun.
