0 = flat one, 5 = medium one and 9 = tallest cup. I used the zeros on mine

You're supposed to use the 5mm on the 4.1.

I dunno maybe I am too conservative. maybe time to drive it like i stole it, lol.
Im no expert, but I'd like to offer my opinion for what it's worth. I have been practicing a lot, working on driving smooth, staying tight on the corners, trying to push it a little harder on each lap but still maintain control. That works fine for practice, but the other day after club racing I showed up at a local track and did a little practice driving with a bunch of other guys that had just finished racing.

I can tell you first hand, that when there are others on the track especially those faster than yourself, all the smooth practice goes out the window. I started to push it harder and harder and my driving suffered. If I would have slowed down, drove my line, and kept my cool I would have driven much better and probably turned faster lap times.

Lesson learned for me. Push it harder when practicing, don't just work on driving smooth. If you want to be a contender you need to push the limits of your driving and your buggy.

I think I learned something from this experience. The fast guys like Maifield make it look easy, turning unbelievable lap times, lapping the field. They push their cars to the limit, but have learned to drive under those conditions. Something to think about.

yeah, I dont worry too much about the drivers or winning. I always treat a race as racing myself. I only care about my lap times consistency and my best lap time. My top 10 are normally 1-1.5 seconds from top to bottom. But my fast lap is not getting faster. Like i said maybe in practice I need to drive it like I stole it and try to keep my line. What really helps is racing against someone that is about your speed and you can push each other harder than when you just watch everyone lap you for the 3rd time , lol. I think breaking might be it also, I dont use direct breaks for anything but mid air correction and down side. I set 10% drag and never use break when all fours. I know there are advanced techniques of going balls out and breaking hard in the corner then square up and balls out again. and on high bitre tracks I can kinda do that. but I race on low bite. and anything more than 10-20% brake will spin you.

On low bite I typically put some roll into the car

I know the 5mm but the spring cups only go to 1-2-3-4 on the spring cup. I don't understand.

Ignore the numbers on the cups. Look at ask the cups. There are tall, medium and short ones. The 5mm cups are the medium ones.

Wildcat: don't worry about your fast lap but how consultant your laps are. If they are consistent try pushing a tad more but stay calm on the throttle. Everybody is different. The fastest guys here look slow but some of them look like they are pushing it. Also stock and mod are very different as far as the line and throttle. What do you run?

Those in the know I have a quick question..I have a b4 buggy I am converting to dirt oval with a EDM body.I was wondering if I used a b4 wide front wheels on it would I use the wider 4wd buggy tires with these rims? I am wanting a wider tire/wheel on the front of this b4 for dirt oval racing.

Thanks Guy's,

Gents does anyone know of a cheap (radio shack) cap for a tekin rs? I know I can order it directly from tekin but I need it by wed. We don't have a hobby shop within 100 miles so my choice is RadioShack, lowes, home depot, etc. thanks for any and all help

My buddy broke the cap off his rs pro for the third time. Funny thing is the buggy ran fine without it.
