Gotcha, yea I tried that last year, only down fall was that the toe block sucked to change. Where the speedo is now is really no different than the Losi car really. It lost rear traction when the shorty was in front of the speedo too.
It's most likely a TiNitraid coating, simular to what losi uses On there race kits.
I have never mounted up JC tires. I picked up some double dees and some groovys. both in green compound. Normally I would round off the inside and outsides of my foams. How do you guys prepare the And 1 foams.
Gold Anodizing AE Ti Turnbuckles
I did this to my cars for nationals. Very simple to do took me like 15min to do my whole car.
1. Get a bottle of concentrated simple green, a cup, two wires, tape, and seven 9v batteries in a series.
2. Take one of the wires and tape one end to the bottom of the cup and put the other end on one of the -/+ of the batteries.
3. Take your turnbuckle and your other wire, wrap the wire around the turnbuckle and the other end around the other exposed battery -/+. Lower your turnbuckle in the simple green and leave it in there till the simple green stops bubbling. (make sure the wire on the turnbuckle doesn't touch the simple green)
For a really strong and shiny gold, polish off the blue on the turnbuckle before you start.
Let me know if you have any questions.

ok, got my hex kit upgrade installed. Just a few notes. The roll pins used in the rear are pretty loos in the front and too long for the avid hex. No biggie though, I just used my snips and shortened them 1.5mm ish. The avids capture them, so not worried about them falling out. Next issue was the AKA front B4/Rb5 rims. The didnt fit. The rear rims were very loose like the sc10 wheels, but the front didnt fit at all. I had to use my body reamer and remove about 1/2-1mm of material then they fit. The avid hex were very nice and no issue at all, aside from shortening the pin. I know the hex will give me no performance gain, but meh, I wanted them for bling.

Hey, I should be getting my B4.1 WC in the mail tommorow.
Whats the deal with the rear ballast weight?
Where exactly does it go and should I even run it?
If I do/don't decide to run it is it easy to put on or take off quickly?
Heres a setup sheet for my local track if the track conditions matter:
