RC10B4.1 FT/WC
You need to realize that although the layout looks fairly easy, and the fact that they are going so fast on it....each little bobble amounts to seconds...not tenths. You need to be perfect for 6 mins to make it into the main. Also the layout is being switched to run reverse for the second half (SC & 1/8th) of the weekend. It needs to be able to be switched easily, so large jumps would not be possible.
$30 for set tires
$-- the inevitable money for parts, even for oil or diff rebuild of you don't break anything
$25 roar membership if you haven't already purchased one
And it would be boring for one race so I would want to race 2wd and 4wd so times by two.
Oh and gas. Pretty expensive.

Should provide for some tight racing
This isn't a big air track. Big air tracks are highly over rated. I'd much rather have a technical FLOWING track. Technical doesn't mean tight 180's. It means your lines are crucial. Our locals who are there racing say thats exactly what its about down there.

Drivers will have to really stay consistent and hits there line every lap.

My point is that I let my minions carry my stuff. ;-) We do keep extra parts in stock though. My focus is on perfecting my driving, but I'm not going to punish myself by not driving the rest of the night if I do break something and the hobby shop doesn't have it in stock.
This is one of the dumbest comments made. I bring a ton of stuff to the track. And very very little of it are parts. I run outdoors in the heat. I like to be as comfortable as possible. How does that have anything to do with my mindset?

Just got back from watching a few heats at the nats, damn cav tq all four rounds, beat tebo by .1 in the 4th round
it is what it is, I don't buy $5 coffees either
LOL try going to a nats at a track that you have no idea what the dirt is like, take 10-20 fronts and 3 times that in rears. Buy more at the track.
how's that different than any other week
umm, ROAR nats.... maybe ORCCA will make a comeback and be free
it is what it is, drive something more economical
You forgot to mention the real expensive stuff, food and lodging.
