One of the [2] or [3] quickest guys at my local joint runs a XXX-TCR and doesn't seem to have any issues with it, but most folks are running T4 (which is just about as outdated as a XXX-T) with a TQ and a couple of X-60 thrown in. The X-Factory ride looks sweet, but it ain't cheap. The TQ stadium truck is nice but there are some parts-availability issues I think.

Both cars are very outdated but the losi is way more consistent but very brittle

The tq parts are becoming more available as more and more shops are adding them. Try one u will like it. All of the trucks out there are good so it basically comes down to preference.

I wouldn`t call the XXX-T Cr brittle , the T4s I race against can break just as easily .

Both are great dependable trucks and capable in the right hands . All comes down to driving style , T4 has better steering , CR has more rear grip and can have almost as close as good steering of T4 with the correct setup .

Either way you won`t be disappointed . I would take into consideration what your hobby shop and track stock parts for .

The t4 is not out dated, other wise it would have been replaced. The T 4.1 is the most recent version / most updated version that is only about a couple of months old.

Nothing new though.. is what they were after, other than packing a brushless choice and updated rear tires the truck is basically the same. The CR and the T4 any version of them are all capable and in the right hands will win any given race. I like the losi better, my bud likes the t4 better.. I usually beat him but it comes down to who screws up less. PS the CR is not at all brittle, the plastics vs the old graphite make quite a difference though I tend to like the old graphite better myself mf1 mf2 etc.

I run a t4 because I also run an Sc10. I like the matching platforms. I don't know if parts match from xxxt to strike, but I do know I do not like the strike

i ran a T4, and an MF2, the MF2 suited my driving style better, so i prefer it. A lot of the racers I know started with a T4, and switched to Losi, and were faster with the losi (this may be due to just getting faster period but...). Don't know many folks that went the other route and stayed that way.
Like was said earlier, if you run other 1/10 vehicles (2wd buggy/4wd buggy/ short course), I would stay with the brand you have, as many of the parts are interchangable.

I know this isn't one of your initial trucks, but the RT5 is what I would get if I were going to get another 1/10th truck, or another Losi. (still have my MF2, just don't race 1/10 truck anymore)
