This thread is really quiet, what is a good setup for the FT sc10 for a hard packed clay track?

Guys, I learned the hard way in my final . Get a good ballcup and make sure the rings on your cva's are secure with heat shrink. I missed bumping up a main due to these mechanical failures. Probably didnt help that I was running a big 1/8 scale track lol.

What did you do to upgrade the ballcups? I've seen FT stock ballcups pop out sometimes just on landings, I've seen some guys install captured ballends, RPM or TLR Ten-T ballcups.

I am running losi ball cups and they popped off after small jumls or whoopdies, after big jumps they stayed.

What brand makes captured ball ends?

Just run RPM ones, if you pop those off you need to not crash as hard....we all crash

turn marshall can pop a ball cup back on, he can't fix the broken part a captured rod end is attached to.

but Dubro makes them

I swear by the RPM ball cups. Some ppl complain they're too tight on the ball stud sometimes and bind a little, but once they're worked in a little they're just as free to move as the stock ballcups. I've yet to have a ballcup pop off since I've been using the RPM's.

I crashed a few times but I think landing hard after being twelve feet or so qhigh coming off a jump didnt hwlp, I ran on a very tough eighth scale track with a few big jumps.

Use RPM ball cups, good stuff. They'll pop off, but not easily.

Also, I thought you were talking about The Asylum as the giant track, where in the world is that track in the pictures?

To give you an idea, the fast guys in 2wd stock 17.5 were running 1 min and 3 seconds. Yea it was a very huge track. I learned a lot about my truck, setups, tires and most of all the weak points. Hopefully I can take from this experience and apply to more suitable 1/10 scale tracks. Looking forward to the next big race.

I have RPM in my SC10 and I've never had a problem with them popping off.

How does the carbon fiber battery strap mount on the Factory Team sc10? The manual doesnt mention any screws or anything to hold the battery strap on with. I know about the thumb screws that you turn to lift the battery strap but then it fully comes off. Where does it screw in on the other end of the battery strap?
