You look at the 502 and you would think it was a B44.
"Oh it's not a B44 but a Top of the Line Tamiya Kit."
Car looks good man.

Yeah, except that it looks nothing like a B44. On a more intellegent note, my 201 was great last night. It was a new track layout and after a few minor setup changes my car was on rails. I have a couple more things I want to try and the car should be perfect. I won both qualifiers, TQed and won the A. I was also the first 17.5 buggy to do 20 laps on the new layout!

Steve, what is the deal with making all of your posts in bold now? For my setup I am running Randy's setup with a few tweeks and slightly different weight. Give me a little and I will post what I am running that is different.

I use part # 54090 servo mounts in my 201, 502 & 511, you'll need 2 packs.

The blue alloy ballstuds on the 201 wear away quite quickly and ball cups then tend to come off in a hard crash.
What ball studs are most of you using instead, or are people happy with the stock ones ?

Where are you using the blue alloy ballstuds? There are ball nuts that come for the servo linkage but it would take a hell of a hit to pop those off even after the anodizing has worn down...

Sorry Randy, I was asking for a friend of mine who races at our track.
He was showing me his car on the weekend.
He is currently leading the point score in 2wd Modified and although he has only been racing RC for a year is quite a natural talent.

I will get him to describe the problem on this thread.

Thanks.

The alloy ball nut on the rear uprights as per the kit build have worn quite badly. Replaced with steel 5mm ball studs from a db01 and the rear link now hits the rear springs (using the middle hole on the plastic upright). Anyone else experienced the same problem.

Looks like i either need the alloy rear uprights or to space the rear shock out from the arm.
