I have never questioned Tamiya's quality as I been running their stuff since the Frog, Fox, and Clodbuster. Quality is never been an issue when it comes to my Tamiya stuff. I'm close to pulling the trigger on one as its still nice our shop don't need to have a special account so I can get stuff for the car.

You guys took car of my other concerns so I think I will put everything on our shop order and have it next week. Anything GP don't have I will just order from other places and also have in next week.

Is their one piston combo that is most popular to run? I have the kit 1.4 and 1.3 plus I ordered a pack of 1.4 and 1.2 pistons. I checked out a ton of different setups and they all different as far as pistons go. My plan will be to run Associated BB springs on the car and then the Tamiya pistons. Running on a fairly smooth medium traction indoor traction clay track. Normally everyone runs gold bar codes or MC suburbs at our track.

Thanks ahead of time.

I personally run 1.4 piston in front with 425wt and 1.3 rear with 375wt and im running Losi BB springs.

Mostly smooth clay tracks is also what i run.

Those pistons must be on the larger size with running heavier oils like that.

Going to put hexes on the car when I first build it. Was looking at using Associated b4.1 rear hex rims and associated front hex rims. I think the Losi hex rims are a little wider from what I been reading off this thread some.

Car now is looking like its showing up Thursday. Kinda sucks I guess the weather is holding up our order from last Wed. Normally our stuff gets here in 3 days.

If you're running truly smooth and high-bite clay and your track (unfortunately) allows tire sauce, you're pretty close to just running brown colored OnRoad with a few jumps at that point as far as setup goes so yes, those oils would be in the ballpark.

Thx.

Going back a few months to the weighted front bulkhead discussion, my new Tamiya 54439 brass one arrived Saturday and I put it in and raced with it Sunday (won mod buggy at my local track). It weighs 1.10oz on my digital scale, or, the bulkhead plus the inserts add roughly .9oz over the stock setup. That's close to the amount of weight I ran up front anyway so I didn't really notice a balance difference but the front of the car did feel more "solid." I think there's a definite rigidity increase up front with that part in there and it is so immaculately machined that I'd have to definitely give it a thumbs up and it's great to see Tamiya still developing/releasing new parts for this car.

Ok. Yeah our track is most of the time mediu,m to high bite that we could run slicks on but at least we don't allow slicks for the last 4 years or so. Normal tire from 90% of the guys our the Gold Bar Codes.

Hope all my new parts show up this week. I ordered a bunch of stuff from the one site on here Jimmy Wright mentioned. My car will be here Thursday and I hope all my other parts will show up at that time as well.

Racecrafter do you know if order 443 went out yet. I sent an email early today but didn't hear anything back yet. Its the last box of parts I need before I start my build tomorrow.

Those pistons are the kit pistons.

They work very well for me along with the TLR BB springs.

Hope you figure out a neutral setup for yourself.

Will give that setup a try first and see what happens. Thanks for the info.
