Durango DEX210 Thread
Tech Regular
I have raced the DEST 210, and DEX 210.
I was better with the truck then the buggy this past winter on Carpet Oval.
Why because the truck was mid motor and the buggy was rear motor. Mid motor is the thang these days.
I still use and still plan on using the DEX 210 as a backup latemodel
car for my B6D. I don't blame you Cain going to the B6D you'll love it!

yeah will see how it goes, who knows, I could totally be back to square one, especially if a sweet dex210F comes along again that I don't screw up and not buy
Someone should however get a pretty nice setup.

Lol I have one but not sure 100% what I will do with it. Bought it and thought maybe make it for stock but on the other hand I have an offer from another company to run their cars so might end up selling my 210F. If I do I will let you know as it looks like brand new.
Honestly that is quite tempting! Have a B6D that is Built but have not run it yet. Considering selling it and getting the exotek for the 210 just to be different than everyone else but thinking that could be a pretty stupid thing to do.
Does the Exotek honestly bring the 210 up to par with the new B6D or the B6? If it does then I will sell the B6D and run with the 210. Overall the durability of the 210 seems just fine so having a ton of spares on hand doesn't seem to be all that necessary but it is hard to dismiss the parts availability for the Associated brand everywhere!
Help me out!

With the future of the DEX210 and the Durango brand in question, I'd go with the B6D. You may have spare parts now, but that could change. There's also a hell of a lot more 3rd support for the B6D.

I don't know. I think the Dex setup with the exotek chassis can compete with the B6D. If you need the laydown transmission maybe not. But you do have the 210F to compete with the B6 (non D), or laydown. I haven't tried the 210f yet. But with all the question marks with what is going on with Durango and since you already have you 6d, I would just stick with that. I am waiting to see what is going on with Durango before I get the exotek chassis. I will give it a few months.

Wally- what have you heard is going on with Durango?
Thanks for the feedback guys! Thats what I am thinking as well! I like the 210 but the lack of support with local shops is tough to overlook! Hard to tell what's goin on and hard to ignore the associated lineup. They just build killer cars. They have the best drivers but also some of the BEST cars!

My Durango with the Exotek chassis has no problems running the B6d cars as it should because geometry is very close. Now a B6 with the lay down tranny will rotate faster than the Durango and is way more edgy to drive. I ran my friends B6 with lay down tranny and while it does have more entry steering it was twitchy to drive overall.

Not much. Just what has been written in previous post. The best news is what Fred heard from Doughty that they have lots of stuff they are working on but can't say. Only thing that worry a me is Dought is in Europe region. All they seem to race is 2wd/4wd buggy. I think we are all safe with the 4wd V5 and 210F and X. Just my opinion. Hopefully they see the need for ST and SC 2wd in the states & come out with some updated models. But with JP already not racing Durango and Amezcua not really saying much. .... No racing team here. Who knows?? Like somebody said earlier. Hopefully some new buyer buys them out and starts working on it..

If Durango isn't going to release a new version of the DEX210, our chances of getting a new ST or SC are probably slim to none.

who knows, maybe ST may be more of a chance expecially with xray making one. Maybe this will be the return of the class.

I finally got a response back from Durango UK this morning. They basically put the blame on Hobbico and said that they're talking to them about availability of parts.
Ah man, that sucks. I've only recently got my DEX210 and spent money on extras. Ultimately this car isn't slowing me down so I'm going to run it into the ground. I was just hoping it would be a while before I became "that guy" that runs the obsolete platform strung along with parts bought on flea-bay and retro-fitted from other brands.
