The new V2 front arms, towers, and front shock parts are now also available at Tower Hobbies. All of my V2 upgrades are now on the way.

v2 conversion, also has the new type B shock retainers, shorter front shock bodies and shorter shock shafts and the LRC mount.
Dont forget to get those.

Not sure if you need the chassis since you are doing the side by side saddle pack. But I think using the aluminum chassis and modifying the side pods would be another option as you can change to another set of side pods to run back the stick packs.

I did get the shorter shock bodies and shafts. I do not yet have the LRC blocks but will be changing those to Exotek soon. I didn't know about the shock retainers but I'm not sure why I'd necessarily need those anyways.

I'm not concerned with the chassis right now. I only plan on running saddles. If I go back to rear motor then I may just swap a chassis back out. I still intend to work on the carbon fiber one. I'm just really busy.

So was did the V1 dex210 have a HRC mount ?

Next time I run MM4 I was thinking of picking up some side pods and modifying them to suit a sideways short pack.

The original 210 rear mounts weren't specifically called HRC. They just introduced an LRC block later that moved the hinge pins down 2mm which by default made the original mount an HRC.

I'm only awaiting delivery of new towers and front arms which just came off backorder and shipped today. I'll be running these inside the front shocks to avoid having to replace the shafts and bodies.

Do we have a concrete list of all the items needed in order to do a conversion from a v1 kit?

I have so far:
Type B transmission
Type B rear top brace
Type B front arms
Type B rear arms
Type B spring retainers
Type B side guards
+8 chassis
LRC RR hanger
21.5 Front shock bodies w/ shorter shafts

Could I run the type b shock towers without upgrading to the new shock bodies?

I currently am the front tower is the same height. The rear tower is 2mm lower so will limit up travel by 2mm, I have not raced with this setup yet but so will let everyone know if there are any issues.

The new shock bodies are only on the front (V1 23mm V2 21.5mm) and shorter shock shaft front and rear.

The straight v2 front arms shock mounting points are 2mm higher I also have those, so in theory I have 2mm less up travel front and back.

Interested to see how it goes.

You also need the shock towers, ballcups, ball studs and rear brace (there's the top deck part and the upper brace part, there is 2 different packs you need) There's also the longer outdrives and something with the cvd's, not sure what. I think that's it otherwise, don't forget the shock o-rings (on my phone, its tricky to go back and add it to my list :P )

You'll need the Type B motor guard too, unless you're only ever going to run MM.

That is correct, I've been running the type B plastic chassis for a bit, easy to forget that isn't stock I think this is a complete list except CVD's, not sure what they did with the dogbone. I think you'll also need the hard ano'ed layshaft spacer (another one of those popular upgrades)

Type B transmission
Type B rear chassis brace
Type B top deck
Type B front arms
Type B rear arms
Type B spring retainers
Type B motor guard
Type B pivot block set
Type B shock tower set
2mm ball studs
DimecX ball cups (2 packs)
s40 o-rings
Long outdrives
Type B side guards
+8 chassis
LRC RR hanger
21.5 Front shock bodies w/ shorter shafts

The driveshaft pin is now 90° to the axle pin on the new driveshafts.
The v2 also comes with a 81T spur instead of the previous 87.

That makes sense, the rear dogbone is like the 410v4 (something to do with the frequency, voodoo I say) and not many run the 87t, you have to run a low turn motor to get the ideal ratio's, an 81t will cover most mod motors (stock is a whole other ball game but you typically need a stock spur gear, they're too small for any mod motor)
