You don't have to use the snap ring pliers.

Yes you do... you can NOT get the circlip out of the diff housing without them. Getting it in... maybe... Definite a "must have" tool.

Kit - check
Electronics - check
glued up wheels/tires - check

All that I have left now, is painting up a shell. A couple other small tid-bits about the car:

1. The largest pinion you can fit on the car with the stock 87 spur, is a 25, which means you will be slightly under geared even with a 9.5 turn motor (what I always run). It truly is a bizarre choice for the one and only spur gear.

2. Lunsford fatty motor screws with the fatty washers don't fit under the pinion/spur dust cover. They even rub a tiny bit with normal small flat washers.

That's it for now... my first run will be Saturday.

Default DEX 210

Cpt.America, I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts about the 210 compared to the RB5 SP2. All the features of the 210 are tempting me to pick one up, especially since you race in the same general area. Looking forward to your review/thoughts

My front wheels are. I cant run the inserts to shorten the wheel base without them rubbing the hing pin screws when I turn.

Any setups yet?
Mine has a real bad push but it's getting better. I only had a couple of hrs on the track to make some adjustments.

Any problems with the diff?
Mine was missing a bearing for the inner part and I used one from my TC5. It seemed to work at first then it was like I had no diff at all. I removed the one Bering so the rings would rub the diff balls.
I think the male part of the one out drive may be to long .

looking at your build, you built it using the 4 gear transmission, right? That would explain your real bad push as the 4 gear setup yields more rear traction.

That would partly explain the wheelies . I'll have to change it to 3 gear tonight.
Is there a spring rate chart any where
