Joe who did you get yours from? I ordered mine through RCHR and still have not received it. Just wondering......

When I get mine I'm just going to start with the traditional 3 gear rear setup

What is the difference between the black or gold nitride shock shafts?

finished up my build this afternoon, anyone else's rear wheels bind a bit? After I tighten the rear wheels they seem to bind.

I built my diff with ceramic diff balls and this diff is NICE

If anyone didn't know yet, the stock rear shock shafts are 55mm, the Ti-nitride gold and black shafts for the rear are 52mm. I used the black Ti ones in the rear and the arms are still on the droop screws so the lose of 3mm on the shaft doesn't seem to matter.

nothing that I can tell, I've got the gold shafts in my DESC410 and the black shafts in my DEX210. Black ones cost about $1 more but I kinda like the "stealth" look.

Does the nitride coating really offer any benefit? They say it's smoother but is it really?

It's a much harder surface so the shaft should last ALOT longer. The "regular" shafts in my DEX410 are a bit scratched up just from occasional running.

Got mine from Chris at Madness. Stopped up there and he had a pile of kits. He made me an offer I couldn't refuse so I had to do it
Chris was saying he got his shipment on Saturday.....

It's all good sir! We gotta have a little fun right? The spur is much closer to the Associated diameter than the Schumacher too.
