Hey bud , good to see you still with the Durango cars.

When you coming up for a run on our indoor track mate?

Try turn 1 at 40km/h into a 90deg turn we are lifting the inside front wheel nearly 2 inches I reckon and it's perfectly normal with good traction

LOL yeah these type questions usually do. I'm not new to RC or elctric just new to the 2wd buggy. Trying to get some idea what ESC, motor and battery I should buy.

Tekin has been working for me, running RS and RS Pro's in my buggies with Redline's and LRP motors. But have heard good things from Speed Passion, Orion and Viper. Choose one and go with it.

Depends how hot of a motor you want. I use a 8.5t with some boost.
For the price and performance...you can't beat Speed Passion. Does everything all those over priced speedos do. Check out the killer prices.

Few questions before I make the purchase...

Does the kit come with tires?
What color are the wheels that come with the kit?
Are you guys using only Durango wheels or other brands or adapted wheels?
Does the kit come with HD ball cups?
What size spur comes with the kit?
Does anyone know the final drive ratio so I can figure out my own gearing without having to bug you guys?
I plan on running a 13.5. What gearing works?
Also, I am going to run at SRS which is an outdoor track, hard pack, and at a indoor clay/dirt track. Should I start with RM3 or RM4?

Finally, everyone seems to be running four hole pistons, in the range of 1.2, 1.3, and 1.4. Does anyone make pistons in this size or should I just drill out some blanks?

Sorry for the laundry list. Any help would be appreciated.

-Nope

-Fl. Yellow

-I think there is an AE front mod. Not sure though. Dingo wheels are cheep and nice though.

-Yes

What size spur comes with the kit?
-87

-2.6

-I would guess something around 18/86

-I'm starting at RM3 because it's something I have experience with

-Glue two holes shut

Sorry for the laundry list. Any help would be appreciated.

I just finished building the kit. Broke in the diff. I'll post more after I run some packs through it.

for the 13.5 gearing, I run 26/78 with boost (the smallest pinion that would fit with that spur) and it still runs cool, I can probably go to 28+, so if you want to use the stock spur, put the biggest pinion that will fit on. Other then that So Cal gave you everything else you asked. I would definitly say start with 3rm, I had 4rm but it has no steering except off power, gut it will never get loose, so for new drivers it would be a very safe/consistant set up, but not as fast

Default Springs

I have a question about springs. I see pics of 210's with red marks on springs and preload nuts. Are these durango's just painted or other brands? What are the stock springs (blue, dark blue)and are they a good starting point? Or should I get others? Thanks again.

It appears the gear ratio of 2.6:1 is the same as my b4.1, and on that buggy i ran 69/31 with a 13.5. Thank for the info.
