Going to the track today, Indoor medium grip clay OC/RC. Going to begin the day using Jorn Neumann's WCRC setup to see how close it gets me. Will report in my findings, there will be 4 other Durango guys there today. Should make for a fun day of tuning.

Yeah let me know how that setup works. I'm looking for a good setup for those local SoCal tracks.

Question, running RM4 with the pinion on the passenger side of the car, my throttle is in reverse. I checked the rotation of the motor in the dex210 manual and it shows the car running in reverse too??? Simple to just correct it with my transmitter but am I doing something wrong? Thanks for the help.

If your running RM4 the pinion and spur should be in the driver side and motor rotation would not be reversed. Why do you have it flipped? Do you live in England or Russia and have it their driver's side?

Guys,

I wanna know , who drives the durango gear diff, on what surface and what kinda grip level.
But most importantly, what oil you have in the gear diff.

reason I ask is :

I drove first with the ball diff, and I could push my dex very hard in and out of corners.
But with the gear diff it seems nearly impossible. The rear of the car wants to spin out on throttle when exiting corners.

the gear diff feels very heavy with 1000cst oil in it.
things I have done to make it feel lighter is : remove a bit of oil and ran the diff for a few minutes, holding one wheel in my hand , and then switch to the other side.

It did help and made it a little lighter. but not enough.

I read about team associated black grease, I read about 60wt Losi shock oil.

what are you experiencing ?

I run on outdoor hardpacked low/mid grip clay/dirt

ps.

I have felt a lot of ball diffs at our track from different cars.
TLR 22, centro, b4.1 .
And they all feel much lighter.

Even the TLR 22 gear diff witk 3K diff oil feels lighter than my durango gear diff

Curious about the stock turnbuckles.. This is my next step in building.. Are they strong enough compared to titanium? Reason is, I have some B4 blue titanium turnbuckles and some Lunsford RB5 turnbuckles (the stock Kyosho turnbuckles are super strong).. The associated are longer and the Lunsfords are a little shorter... Just wondering if anyone has used non Durango turnbuckles.. I think if I try the B4 ones, its just a matter of screwing them in a little deeper in the cups... Thoughts?

No need other than to lighten the buggy.

Only changes I made that worked wonders for me was to change to light red springs up front and 3 degree anti-squat, ride height set to 22mm. Dialed. I may try going to 25 weight oil in the rear shocks, but it feels so good right now, I may just let it ride.... (this was with the full length lipo, will try setup with short pack all the way forward tomorrow).

Thinking about making a switch from my RB5 to a dex 210. Anyone ever run both can discuss the comparison?

I find my RB5 absorbs bumps and jumps great but could just use a little more steering. How is the dex? What are comparitively its weaknesses and strengths.

Now that parts should be in supply again I am considering this change . . .

Default Sterring issues I missed.

What could be causing the right wheel to be doing this?

Your caster blocks look janky. The right one looks like it is spaced normally with the 4 spacers behind the caster block, the left one looks like it is spaced further back. check your axle inserts as well.

You might want to review this guide to explain the different inserts.

Also looks like maybe your caster inserts are not the same from side to side.

Exactly what it was. A quick flip and all is well.

Funny thing is I thought I had. Guess I didn't... Live and learn. spacers were fine. 4mm on each side rear of hub.
