if they are going to do a laydown transmission as well, could put durango right back up there with all the latest tranny tech going on from what I can tell.

I'm not so sure the laydown tranny is needed. The ones that I see run it use a lot of weight so why not just move the batter forward and if I use a larger spur gear it moves the motor forward so you can easily get close to the same thing.

From reading the B6 thread I believe the reason for the laydown is to move the CofG lower, the weight moving forward is more of a by product.

Finally getting my dex210 to handle, with only two gears in the diff (didn't have any lighter diff oil) i have loads of steering and can really get it handling how it should.

Lots of tips and hints taken from this thread so thanks to those that have posted.

Does anybody know where to find a cad drawing of the V2 or V1 side pods? Also, what DIMEC stand for?

I am working on some custom ideas for my V2 and I am new to the 3d printing world.

I'm just finishing up my exotek conversion and I got the lightened 22 3.0 body. It doesn't look that good. I really hope someone comes out with a body that will be a direct fit.

Not sure if we would see a direct body unless exotek does something or maybe durango does something in conjunction with them.

Based on what WYD said, sounds like the B5M body is a better fit. Not sure on side pod width, but I did a test fit of the xray xb2 body on my Plan B chassis and liked how it fit, so maybe that could be an option, albeit, since its xray, a $$$ option.

If any of you with the exotek chassis run with guys with the xray xb2s, can you do a test fit of the body on there?

Main thing is on the Exotek chassis is it is much narrower than the stock Dingo chassis so that is why stock type bodies while they fit (in the front and rear) but on the sides the body is wide and about a 1/2 of so fron hugging the chassis. The new Exotek chassis is about as wide as the shorty plus maybe 1/4" added on each side and thats it. Much sleeker overall vs stock.

I noticed on are track when dry the car has really good rear traction and car pushes but the car has lots of adjustments plus the Exotek chassis I can move the battery all over it will really help me to dial the car in for different condidtions.

Next time I'm at the track I definitely plan on trying some bodies. I still haven't driven it. The 10th scale track is closed for a rebuild while the futaba nitro challenge is in town.
