It was really timing that made the difference. Just moving punch to 1 didn't fix it. I may bump punch back to 9 and leave the timing at 2 and see what happens. I mean, it runs great as is, but for the sake of learning, might as well...

Update: So I never messed with the settings after that, but I did run that 20c pack 3 or 4 times and had no sensor errors. Truck was running so hard I took my epa down to 80%.

So there ya go. Solution to the sensor error.
Oh man, I was sure hoping it would work, but, no it doesn't work for me.
I have a 1 day old Xerun 150A esc testing with 3 different motors and 2 different sensor wires, all of which work fine on an rx8 and mmp. I'm running a 4S 5000mah 40C lipo and the sensor error comes on with every possible setting between timing and punch control. I agree it is a load issue because this error does not occur on a 3S 20C lipo. Not only is this EXTREMELY ANNOYING error occurring on my brand new esc, it also occurs on my other Xerun 150A esc, which I bought used and was hoping this new one wouldn't give me the same error. I'm very disappointed with these Hobbywing speed controllers. One would expect for a sensored esc to function properly and if not one would expect the issue to be addressed by Hobbywing, escpecially when so many people have experienced the same issue.

Is it likely that I will get a counterfeit if I buy an xerun 150amp ESC off eBay. The odd eBay advert mentions "ANTI FAKE" buy the vast majority do not. Is there anything to look out for. I also notice some say model sl241 and others sl261. Differences?

So what's the general consensus about those ESCs and motors? Thinking about getting the 1800kV combo for a 1:8 buggy which will be used for bashing on 6S.

My other option option is Rekin RX8 with a Redline motor, but it's considerably more expensive and quite frankly, I'm not at all convinced that I'll see any difference while bashing.

Don't get it off ebay! Get it off these people, they have a warranty for Xerun and you don't need to send it to china to get repaired. LIKE I JUST DID

I can't post a link but google, this is the offical hobbywing dealer in the US.

Is my ESC dead? Basically it makes no beeps, no errors and does nothing in sensored mode, and then in sensorless it makes weird beeps and a faint sound.

Is it my motor or ESC? Because the ESC seems like it burnt down. Watch the video please for a better explanation
