They are cheap, and secure the battery well. It also helps support a soft case battery on the bottom as we all know the bottom of the chassis is not flat.

I also made a rear body mount using the other trans top hole and some threaded rod (cut head off a bolt). I then threaded in a body mount from a 1/10th Losi Late Model. My car is in my trunk or I would take a photo.......

that body post is a good idea

back from the track...not too bad. i had to re-learn how to drive though. also have a lot of tuning to do, lol. i could not find and tire that would give good sidways traction. only time will tell if i will keep it. any setup tips?

mopar1994 10-15-2009 05:36 PM

for better on power steering i run 1 gold washer on the rear hub carrier and 2 of those washers on the front inner camber link location. ya know that spacer thats on the inside of the spindle carrier thats on the screw that screws into the axle? i run that spacer on the outide of the spindle carrier. that helps with steering too.

Cracked my buggy T plate on the end of the triple. :(

Truck handled very well, especially with NO setup other than the stock Speed-T settings, and 30w all around. I was traction rolling alot.

Did it just crack in half?

Pretty much. I would have guessed it should have cracked at my mounting points, but it was a Z across the center of the Pivot plate. Just a bad hard landing.

mopar1994 what did you use to make your standups for the 4 gear tranny? I am reworking my mid motor rc10gt putting a 4 gear in it and would like to make more mounts at different heights for adjustments.

i made those posts from some delrin rod i had laying around. i used to use the delrin rod for links on my losi mini rockcrawler

whats a really good, fast brushless motor that i could get? i just saw some team ptityo motors and they look like they perform really good. does team ptityo just modify one of your motors or can you just buy a motor from them?

rammstein88 10-19-2009 01:21 PM

i never heard of them.

but delrin rod is what i used to make my braces. i have it and delrin sheet laying all over my work space, lol. great stuff.

anybody have anymore updates? i will be trying to test some more this week.

Is your motor going to clear with that much material left on the chassis?

mopar1994 10-21-2009 01:16 PM

yes the motor will clear. the chassis was like that with the old transmission in it and the motor cleared
