A123 cell are also considerably heavier than Lipo and border on Nimh weight so a 6S2P pack would have 12 cells actually.
And who has a charger capable of 20 amp outputs?
me.. hehe..

for 150 bucks.. this charger simply amazes me every time I use it.

I charge 3 of my 5S 4000mah packs in parallell in 1 hour.

these 2S hard packs I can charge up to 4 in parallel at 20A. 1 hour charge time

hey guys do you realize that the "c" rating relates to the mah of the battery for instance a 4000mah battery taht has a "c" rate of 25c = 100amp discharge and a 5000mah battery with a 20c rating is also 100amp discharge which is fine for ANY brushless system wheather 1/10 or 1/8 yes bigger "c" is better but not always needed or even used

I made this my first LiPo purchase for my SC10 and Strike, bought 2. I didn't have a charger so I ordered this to charge it. I didn't understand what was needed for the AC chargers. I am guessing it's going to take a little while to charge the batteries with that charger since it's only a 2A charger?

will take a while.. for those cells looks like 2.5 hours for each pack... but looks very simple and easy to use. and theres nothing bad about charging a lipo slow. just easier on the battery.

Ah - for about $15 more, you coulda had the Accucel-6 which is 50w output. There, you could run a charge for 7.4v at 5Amps (that's under 40 watts).

That 2A charger is good for receiver packs and other such 2000mAh type LiPo items. You should be able to sell it if you don't end up keeping it.

But doesn't that charger also require a $10 - $20 power supply. That's why I said I didn't understand what was needed for the AC chargers. I'll get an AC charger at some point and hawk this one, I'm just trying to get started. I also didn't get a charge bag, is that something I need to get before I charge the batteries?

A Lipo Sack is not a must for charging, but it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, unless you are charging outside on concrete every time. Its cheap insurance just in case your charger malfunctions.

It is integrated into the pack but it still fits fine in the XXX-T.

I have a Desert Truck and just bought 2 of these batteries thinking there might be an issue about the balance plug but the height of the pack is quite low and so with the strap down there is a bout a 3mm gap (at a guess) between the bottom of the strap and the lipo, so it freely sits in there, not being pressed down or anything.

(The white bit is the batt, the wires above it is for the balance plug.

(Not a good pic (couldn't get it to focus on it properly in a way it would show what I am trying to point out) but you can see the wires there coming out for the balance plug and there is a bit of room above and below it... fits easy.

I got 2 of those 20c 2s 5000 turnigy's and I run them in my SC10. They work great. Got 2nd place tonight with them. But I can definitely tell the difference from my friend's 40c thunderpower on the straight. But hey, they were cheap, and balance and discharge very evenly so far. Good battery for a noob like me.

I've been running Zippy Flightpower (same thing?) 4000mah 2S1P batteries for a while. I have three of those. They run perfect. As good as my Maxapms batteries.

My Turnigy 3600 soft pack is fine.

My I have 4 Turnigy and Zippy 1000mah RX packs and they work fine in my nitrobuggy.

My Zippy 5000mah 4s1p batteryt is taking a beating in my starter box. Goes through 3 weekends without a charge!

I'm never buying expensive packs again.

People, don't sleep on what's sold @ hobbycity. I have experimented with many lipo packs from zippy to turnigy and all are good stuff. Also, don't get confused with the C rating. The C rating is the Amps that can be drawn or charged from the MAH rating of the pack. Therefore, the higher MAH, the lower the C you can run. Also, 1/10th scale application doesn't come NO WHERE near 1/8th applications. On 1/8th scale off-road, i run between 20 to 25C with ZERO issues!!! 20C on 5000MAH pack will be PLENTY!!! If it's a 2000MAH pack, then 20C maybe too low. People, save your money and support these packs. The more of these packs you will buy, the more the US will be forced to lesson their prices.
