1 Attachment(s)
WOW it seems that li-po has become beyond affordable. I was browsing hobbyking.com yesterday and found these. @ $19.79 per battery these are the cheapest hardcased li-po in existance!!

Yeah kinda makes me nervous.....too cheap....

I would be skeptical also, but some of my freinds are running the turnigy batteries in their 1/8 electric rigs and having great results from them,so if they can deal with the constant drain an e-1/8 buggy pulls then they gotta be OK.

myself and about 5 other guys that I race with run turnigy lipo in our big 1/8 rigs without any issues. these are good cells they are just making a statement that 90% of the other lipo labelers are just plan ripping you off.

Has anyone done any long term testing with these cells?

I bought 2 4s 5000 packs at the beginning of the summer and ran the crap out of them, They are still perfect and have more punch than the maxamps I have used.
I am glad to see a new layout with the wires with this new hard case. The way the wires exited the side limited it in some chassis. This really completes the line. I will be ordering like 4 of these for winter |
Yeah but with these being only rated at 20C do you think they could handle 1/8 scale? I was looking to go hardcase but my cash is low right now because I have to buy an extra esc-motor. I use the 4S 30C 5000mah and true the way the wires exit sucks for my app.

It's easily got 120+ cycles on it and still takes almost a full 3000mah when drained. Zippy/Turnigy/Flightmax have definitely proven that companies like SMC, MaxAmps, Venom, Trinity have been robbing us blind for years. On the flip side though. I have had 1 5000mah 2S hard case (with the wires come out the side) have the neg wire break off twice on the same battery. And I also had a solder joint break on one of the 4000mah 25C 2S hard case ones as well. The 5000 cost me $30 initially, $30 to replace, the 4000mah cost me $26 initially, $25 to replace so that is $110 total. A single MaxAmps 5250mah 2S soft pack costs more than that. :weird: |

they look good for 10th scale racing but i wouldnt touch them for 8th scale. 25c is the lowest i would go there.

A 20C is not enough for 1/8, these would be great 1/10 packs
