ok I’ll go 2 for 2... 5.5mm wrench will do. I use the Hudy one. If you want to improve the steering turn the Ackerman plate to the back and use truggy ball ends. You’ll basically get the MP10 steering setup.

Sweet, ordered and received the 5.5 wrench, no more super toe out! Thanks!

I dont know what an ackerman plate is, or what kyosho truggy model ball ends you are talking about...interested to know though!

Also, i learned that the high traction low mount rear wing stays does not work on the MP9e TKI...it would take a bit of modification with a dremel to make work, which I might try later, but for now, I just put the original wing stay back on the car....

Which TKI are we talking? Weird it doesn’t fit. What’s the wing mount part number?

its this wing stay set:
IFW460

and this is my car rtr set I bought:

30874T1B

the notch in the front of the wing stay doesnt fit in the shock tower brace where it is suppose to...probably means i have older style shock tower braces ( just a guess)....it might fit if I dremeled the wing stay a bit...

sent some links, but apparently I haven't posted enough to put links in my replies yet

I can’t quite picture the issue. I assume the plastic block that fits to the gearbox and strut you either swapped or it is the same as the one on the tree. If you can add a picture that might help but yeah a dremel sometimes makes for a handy crafting tool. The MP10 mount is quite high so your old mount is actually back in style.

Default Best price

Hi all.
I am looking to buy a new Mp9e kit. Who has the best service/price currently?
i see notes earlier in the thread where members were finding prices in the $620 range. I'm finding $699 right now.
Anyone know of some good deals?
thank you Ron

Are you looking for the ready to run kit or just the car without electronics?

Another forum member mentioned the MP10 arm droop screws are set further out and therefore will not contact the MP9 chassis. If that's the case, no good. It says you have an MP10, I think it's worth testing just to be sure....

Another one for you guys....my mp9e came with the standard thickness shock towers...will the thicker shock towers from an mp9e tki3 fit my car? I would insert the picture of the stays i am talking about, but I am not allowed to for some reason...

if someone could post pics of the thicker stays that i want to use i could verify we are talking about the same ones...
