I highly recommend a skid plate to save the rear of the chassis from wearing out before the rest of the chassis does. These are the best: http://shop.leadfingerrc.com/SS-rear...s-LFR10087.htm

here is my car with that chinese delrin spur. I bought 2 from Asiatees cuz it was cheap. $13 to my door and got here in a week. Looks flimsy and I wish someone would make a beefier one.
We shall see how long it lasts with the chassis flex on this thing.
My mesh is perfect but I do not expect it to last but could be wrong. Only seen 2x 8 min runs. I will race the crap out of it Saturday.
I do like the larger capacity diff though.
and yes I know some screws need some wrenching

I was using it on astro turf so it was being put under a lot of stress. It lasted most of the day but it ended up chipping a tooth off.
They are pretty flimsy, you can bend it in your fingers while it's not mounted.
It just looks like they have based the design directly off the metal one and have not beefed it up in any way.

would prefer some kind of contact cement. JB Weld might be a little to thick and it would suck of I missed some while trying to keep teeth clean. who knows without experimenting though?
what I am going to do for sure is to retire the electronics in the pic as my backup and install my new gen2 stuff.

Car needs more off power turn in for the tight indoor layouts. But not bad for an out of the box set up.

Good question.....I only have one battery through it so I'm don't want to jump the gun but I can say that it definitely has a different feel to the way it steers.....
I'm working on a full video review......lost all my video and had to re-shoot a bunch of it....
we'll see how it goes.

I tried this exact spur and it only lasted me a day.

I hope some fine USA company will make a solid plastic spur...c'mon RPM
