SC10 Thread

I just installed them two races ago. We had high traction and it solved my excessive body roll problem and I still had plenty of rear traction. I lapped most of the field that night. I used the lightest bar and basically the box set-up.
The second race the track was not watered and it was super slick. I kept the sway bar on and still liked how the truck ran in general. I don't think it is the fastest set up for a slick track, but I didn't have time to tune out all the body roll through camber and springs/oils. I qualified first in that race (gotte hacked in the first lap) and was able to salvage second. I just had to ease onto the throttle carefully but so did everyone else.
I like the sway bar. I think moving my battery back a little will help get a bit of rear traction back on slippery conditions. Right now my battery is in the forward position and I have way too much steering anyways.
I think you can get the truck to handle without the sway, but it was exactly what I was looking for and it has made the truck way more enjoyable for me to drive.

I am going to be placing an order for a new FT SC10. I am actually excited about purchasing this truck because this will be my first SC truck. So I was wondering if there any hop ups that are needed besides the aluminum rear hubs? Are people using the BB Losi springs on this truck, if so, what springs are being used?

So you guys are using the threaded stop on the v2's and using Losi cups and springs on our FT SC10's. Hm. So should I pass on the AE Spring kits and get losi's? Or is it kinda only a rubbing issue? Has AE done anything about this Rubbing issue since it was last mentioned here?

Let me know what you think about this servo when you get it up and running. I am in the process of building my FT SC10 right now, and picked up this servo already to install when I get to that point. I did a lot of research on servo's, and for the price, the SC-0252MG seemed like a great deal!

So, I have been up until 4:30am the last two nights working on assembling my FT SC10, and I am almost ready to put the tires on. I purchased a set of JConcept subcultures for the front, and it already comes with the ones for the rear. I have decided that I am going to hold off on the whole hex hub assembly until next month or so (buying the FT kit, upgrades, MMP ESC, and servo) really has me behind on bills. However, I am curious what you guys think about running the stock FT hubs and wheels? Should I be okay until I get some more cash... I would assume the stock wheels aren't that bad.

Can you list part no's so I can order?
TIA

They are fine, long as you check them often. The original pin style was a tendenacy to spin the pin when they get loose. I ran the Pin style for two and half years with only one stripped rear wheel. I would still be running pin style if I hadnt bought a SC10 4x4.

Thanks a lot for the feedback, I drive on an indoor technical astro track in the winter so if any f you guys have an advice to improve the setup of my SC10 team and SC10 FT I would be really happy

This was my very first race in SCT, sorry for the -lack of- driving skills
. There were DESC410R all over the place we run 4wd and 2wd trucks together. I did a crazy deal on a used SC10 team the week before this race and had to test it out. The SC10 FT is my gf's car

I would start by limiting downtravel and thinking about lowering roll centers via adding shims in the inner ballstuds.

Thanks, I already have the lowest ride height I can. Maybe I should add some weights, the car is sooo light. Where do you add weights for a high grip track? I don't need as much rear traction as on the clay so I'd say in the front, am I right?
