I mount my receiver at the back right by the antenna and haven't had issues with servo leads reaching. It wouldn't hurt a thing to buy a short extension though if yours won't reach.

Thx for the photo, that really helps. I'm using an older Airtronics server 94452. I wonder if the leads were just shorter. I have a couple of them. I'll compare sizes.

I had this problem too. I have a FT that is about 6 weeks old. The steel pin retainer rotated and the pin and the cva u joint coupler fell out. I ordered a replacement kit for now. Will t4 dog bones work as a back up if it happens again??

I have a pair of extensions and clips in mine, one for the speed controller and one for the transponder I mounted up front. The servo's cable is more than long enough to get to the receiver.

Thanks for the photo. I checked my servo and it was shortened. I have an extra one and you're right the wire reached with no problem. However, I am going to need an extension for my Tekin RS. The wire for the Tekin is to short.

Yeah, the Tekin wire is too short for this vehicle, but not by much. The extension in mine are longer than it needs to be; all you need is 3" for the last little jump. My friend ran his wire over the battery, but I strongly prefer to run it under the battery so it can't get caught on anything.

has anyone looked into the possibility of using parts off the new SC10 RTR RS to convert the regular SC10 to hex drive? Just wondering what parts I would need to acquire.

This can be done easily. The only problem is getting the parts. They are on backorder at Associated. The part numbers needed are 9880, 9881, 9882 and 9883 I believe

im running the rtr brushless set up and im wondering why im having isues with it getting realy hot?? Is this normal? Running all stock gearing for the exception of a aluminom spur gear. 2 cell lipo battery. Running a packed soil track.

How's the mesh between the pinion and spur? If its too tight it will cause excessive heat. Also, what temps are you seeing?
