You can use the same ones that you already have. you only need to change them if you plan on using the optional longer ball cups that jconcepts make. the kit comes with enough of the standard size to do the whole truck.

This is a common thing. If its still all stock get the factory team aluminium brace it helps alot. And if you want stronger arms get the gt2 front arm.

I know it is in here somewhere but this thread is 250 posts long. My brushless system crapped out on me and I am going to have to use an old brushed motor. I have never used anything brushed in it as it was a kit and I went straight to 8.5t brushless. What pinion and spur are people using with brushed? I think I will be using a 27turn brushed but not sure as it was given to me at the track when mine broke, has no labels on it but it is a fairly good brushed motor.

What lunsford turnbuckles do i get, because the front, rear, and steering turnbuckles vary in length, if I use the stock, or rpm rod ends.

So I bought the stock 17t motor and ran it twice today. Half way through the second battery I noticed on the big jump that I had a trail of smoke behind me. I destroyed the stock motor somehow. Anyone else had this problem? And yes I broke it in.

You can use the T4 turnbuckles kit, either the lunsford or the factory team version.

I learned a new word (for me) today. Neodymium! Ok, so it's obvious I'm new to the electric seen. I'm not new to racing though, I've been racing 1/8 scale buggy for about 10 years now and mini late model for about 1year. These short course trucks look like too much fun and I also like watching the real deals tear it up on tv. I just ordered an SC10. I've read back to page 116 so far. Lots of helpful info. My question is. Can some of you post what esc/motor combo you are running, and what you do or don't like about them? I guess that's more than one question. Anyway, I'm in the market and would like to get a general consensus. Thanks in advance.

7.5 is to much for indoor, its stupid. But that is what I am running. Never never WO the trigger.

Tekin RS Pro w/ 10.5 right now.

Think I'm gonna go a touch faster on the motor to like an 8.5... This 10.5 just feels like a turd after running my 4 wheeler.

Although most say that the 10.5 is about perfect for the SC10 in mod class.

I spend way too much money on to get new trucks so my sc10 is running the budget setup just to get it driving around (winter is here, -49 temps) soooo its got an old traxxas xl-5 andddd a 17t venom brushed motor. It's extremly quite, you'll never hear it when its on track. It lacks alot of punch, but has solid top end. I'm moving to a b/l system so, other people recomendations should keep on coming. I'd like to go 17.5 b/l but ive heard they too have no punch and no top end. I'd like some more word on 17.5 b/l systems, anyone recomend the novak havok.

i went to a 13.5 and i felt was to slow

ko vfs brushless speedo vers 1.5 software and x-12 lrp 9.5

Tekin RS/Novak Ballistic 17.5
Obsolete setup, no room for 17.5's in Corr/SCT anymore. Bumped up to Mod. It's a shame to, the Sct class is fun to run with 17.5's. But it's unfair to the cheapo's that would rather spend the exact same money on a dozen brushed motors that aren't really any slower.

It keeps up fine with the mod Sc10's unless they get a good exit onto the straight. Even still I only give up a car length or two on the (short) straight.
Rest of the track I get to enjoy an easier to drive truck. Seems the mod trucks just crash more. When they run a clean lap they're flying.

Still I want an 8.5 or 7.5

Thanks for all the replies. I just found out that the tracks around here are running ROAR rules next year. So I'm limited to a 13.5 What esc/motor combo do you recommend? Thanks again.
