unfortunately castle didn't go the route I and others were hoping and made the motor can even longer, I don't think that will fit at all in our Hyper 9Es. Oh well, will just run the Tekin motor.

The 1512 fits, it's actually shorter than the Tekin and for that price can't be beat.

The 2200 is a 1515 (diameter/length) which makes the 1512 shorter, I'm holding both the Tekin 1400 buggy and a 1512 in my hand right now and the 1512 is shorter.

the 1800 will fit, it's the same length as the 2600. the 2200 will fit also as it's 76mm in length and the wires come out the side rather than the nue that comes out the endbell side making it harder to fit at the same length. the motors longer than 76mm are to big to fit and won't be roar approved and are made more for a truggy

Some people talked of having a small amount of pinion choices and the fins having to be sanded off, anyone have any experience?

Its only a problem with the higher kv motors. All that was needed was to grind a small spot flat on the first few fins to get clearance with the diff. It lets you go one tooth smaller, maybe two.

According to the Tekin RX8 thread the new ones are running strong and holding up well. The Tekin tech guys say it was a manufacturing issue with an automatic soldering machine, and has been corrected.

was looking at the wrong specs. Good stuff the 1800 will be a great addition.

The issue with pinion size is that the car appears to have been designed with motors like a speed passion or novak in mind. Smaller cans. Smallest I have heard fit with trimming was a 14T pinion with the Tekin and Neu style cans.

So you want to go with a lower KV motor like a 1900Kv on 4S setup.

1400kv Tekin on 6s is really nice, 3600mah battery gets me right at 20 minutes on the track, all temps warm to the touch.

The 1412 NEU's are 36mm diameter motors, allows you to use the stock heatsink and pretty much any pinions. http://www.castlecreations.com/produ...rs/nm1400.html

Some pics of my street rocket 9e with a Tekno NEU 1509/2D/F 3300kv on 3s with a 13 tooth pinion (ground some of the first two rows of fins off.

Anyone hear how these are doing at the 1/8 ROAR Electric Championships? I've got mine listed for sale right now. Just curious to see if the results will help or hurt the sale.
