Those are what my kit came with, the shocks are also an updated design, but they should work just fine on a 9e

Kkpit is a brushless motor digital servo, speed was 0.11 at 23kg. Servo case is full cast aluminum and waterproof servo. It has plenty of power I noticed. Not sure if it is selling in the US as I got it overseas. I saw many peoples use it in the 1/8 on road with great comment....

You meant the castle 1515 2200kv ? I will try to run it coming Thursday and see if it is enough power. Is it a good motor ? The hobby shop recommended me but I know nothing about this motor

Watch out! the hyper 9e and hyper star have different suspensions, therefore, different top plate !

I feel there is no need to stiffen the chassis, its already pretty stiff, and have noticed no problems even over-jumping 30 foot quads.

Fun fact- Tim Bump and the ofna/hobao team designed the hyper 9 with special attention to increasing jumping abilities, they did this by increasing ground clearance which lets the car scrub off less speed and fly further.

interesting... better ground clearance...

quoting hobao :
Re-enforced Chassis
Chassis is further strengthened with two longitudinal bars to make the structure rigid solid for precise handling and to keep chassis flex to minimum.

i think the 2 "bars" scrub the jump first and may be "drag" less, they act like snowboards and glide !

Hey, what aftermarket body fit the hyper 9 star ? Is pro line body works ? Any recommendation ? It looks like the original body is not perfect fit with the e bug.

What tyre are you guys running ? Proline or what ?
