Rick....will the kit come pre assembled or will it need to be built from the ground up?

Yes it can be geared correctly. The SC10 comes with a 75 tooth spur gear (as well as an 87 tooth) which is what you need to correctly gear a 17.5 motor. A 28 tooth pinion with the 75 tooth spur will give you the correct starting 17.5 ratio.

It is a complete ground up kit which includes a clear body and wheels/tires.

As it should be!

I'm not a big fan of the whole RTR phenomenon.

RTRs are sweet for beginners but for a nerd like me a kit is sweet...

@Rick
When will you be racing the SC10's next? Would you be ever so nice enough able to take a vid of them?

I asked the LHS again today, and he said it was pushed back all the way to end of May early April, I sure hope his distributor told him bad information! I want my SC10 soon please!

^What he said.

Man, between the SC10 and ROAR's SCT package, I'm really getting jazzed about the direction the R/C offroad industry is moving in.

It'll be nice for once not to have to ditch a pre-painted body (who wants to look like a rookie at the track?) and have a truck I know's built right the first time without having to completely disassemble it first.

I would like to get one, but they are a bit pricey for me right now. I've heard these trucks are so great, they are expecting it's release to coincide with the end of the recession, the cure for cancer (which they have determined was caused by Traxxas) and the resurgence of the Carrier Pigeon...which I think, given the right gearing and driver, could wipe the SC10 all over the track.

Speaking of bodies, I sent Gary McAllister an email asking if he's got anything in the works for the SCT class. I've had a few McAllister Racing bodies before, really sharp stuff

Leave it to that guy to release something like a late-model Chevy with big squared-off edges. Kinda like the fiberglass the Ragland's had on "Arnold" a few years back
