So 46t or 50t spur for RC8T-CE and what pinion? I was thinking about running a 16p for either. I'll be running a 2000kv on 4S lipo. I think after reading I'm going to start with Ft/7K Cnt/10K Rr/5K.... Thanks guys in advance...

hey do you guys think its a must to add toe out on the rc8t ? Or is having the wheels straight with no toe out have a enough turn in and still be stable ?

And also are you supposed to adjust the toe on the front with the power on or off i always wondered that ?

And i know theres a saying that you should have the steering turnbuckles equal leagth left to right ?

But it doesnt seem to work out that way, because one side will turn more than the other side than if you try to make equal the toe will not be the same :confused:

William Q : On a '2000kv motor" since thats a torquey power band from what ive heard from others the "45t spur" sounds about right it will take some of torque away but it may run hotter.

i use a 50t/15t pinion but i run a 2200kv motor so i can get the extra torque but not running to hot ethier.

KJT4: it depends on what shape its in but i guess around the $200-300.

tc5 Man: If you was to use a 17p how much torque would you lose? I have never tuned for torque just speed. My thought on this is that I'm not looking to go faster then nitro even though that would be easy to do. I look to get the same amount of speed or just a tad less than nitro.

i think you whould lose quite a bit of torque on a 2000kv motor, using a 17t pinion or risk overgearing . Im still new to 1/8 e but have dealed with other electric trucks .

i think ethier a "14t or a 15t or 16t whould be fine just check the temp .

as for getting the same amount of speed, or less than a nitro i whould say a 45t/15t or a "14t pinion"/15t will be plently for catching up to nitros .

like i was saying heck im running a "2200kv motor "and i run right with the nitros or beat them its the driving that does the talking really.

as long as your smooth on the throttle you should beat nitro easy :D

I'll use 16p first and see where the temps are at with the 46 spur gear...

no i whouldnt start out with a 16t pinion to start with try a 14t pinion to start with.

i think 16t whould actually be to fast man with the 46 spur i was just starting to think about that.

what kind of dirt do u run on

william Q: 7,10,5 will work good on a meduim to high grip track, but than again its what the driver likes really rather than the track surface if you ask me.

now with me i liked and disliked, the "10k" in the center when running this truck as electric one con was it felt like there was front brake when you coast off the throttle .

out of corners it caught me off guard at times it took off like a rocket lol.

to me "7k" in the center makes it easier to drive on most track surfaces since the front unloads more.

now the "5k" in the rear is ok the one postive is it will make the truck track straighter when hitting jumps in its stable. The downside is it does take quite a it of rotation from the rear out and less steering in the middle of the turns.

i going to try out 7,7,3 insend of 5k" this weekend but that will give you more rotation on the rear and feel like a buggy actually.

theres other guys on hear that will give diffrent opinions.
